  1. Still haven't gotten mine, so I don't know what the deal is. My social ends in 24, so I was figuring it would come today. Oh well.
  2. As opposed to a non-coffee drinking monkey, I'm liking Showalter as the best name out there.
  3. Church Organist and Music Director/piano teacher
  4. Maybe TGJ gets traded to San Diego....they need a CF
  5. The team has been showing no signs of life lately. Can they turn it around? Maybe. But the more games that go by that they can't do anything, the tougher it will be to turn around.
  6. Yount or Molitor might make a good manager
  7. Yes. Yes. Yes. You would think with all the advance scouting and all the prep work, these guys would be prepared for pitchers and hitters, knowing their strengths and weaknesses. For example, when I was watching the Marlins games, I can't count how many time BA and Rock said the Marlins are good fastball hitters. Then throw them offspeed stuff and set up your pitches so they're off balance! It's not rocket science. It's baseball.
  8. If not the monkey, resurrect Earl Weaver.
  9. Don't forget Mike Lowell and John Kruk. And the basketball player from Tennessee whose name escapes me right now.
  10. After much thinking and research, here's what I've come up with to save the season. 1) Hit the ball so that the other team can't field or catch the ball 2) Don't swing at pitches that are either in the dirt, the other batter's box or out of the strike zone 3) Pitch the ball so that the other team either swings and misses at the ball, or hits the ball so our fielders can catch it or throw them out. 4) IF the ball is hit on the ground to a fielder, stop the ball with your glove and make a good solid throw directly to the base. 5) Score more runs than the other team. If the Brewers can follow these simple steps on a regular basis, this will help save the season.
  11. Isn't our 1st baseman a lefty power bat?
  12. Braun has been great in left field. I don't think the back and forth is good for him, especially since he's better defensively at third. The Brewers just need to get consistent hitting and not give up runs in the 5th, 6th and 9th innings.
  13. On the episode this last week, one of the female designers flew to Kohler to get the bathroom fixtures for the house. There was about a minute in Kohler.
  14. He started out awful, in my eyes, and has really been one of the more effective relievers. Gange is Gange, Turnbow Turnblowed himself right out of Milwaukee, and Riske has been quite questionable. A bag of balls would have been value for Estrada, and Melvin seems to have pulled another gem of a deal.
  15. My wife and I had grilled shrimp on Friday night, and all she did was throw some Carribean Jerk seasoning on the shrimp, a little olive oil, and WOW were they good! Also, for BBQ sauce, and I'm excited about trying it, Sprecher has a BBQ sauce, and we were able to find it here in Texas! Yay!
  16. Ned needs to be fired. He, his coffeemaker and everything else that he brings. I can see no way that Ned takes this team in the next few years over the hump and turns them into a consistent winner. This team is struggling, isn't hitting, is playing awful defense, and is giving up homers to PITCHERS!! What more reason do you need? (Quasi-serious on the last one)
  17. But it started out so good! With the bane of (many of) our existence, Derrick Z. Turnbow going to the scrap heap, where he belongs. But, yes, it was an awful day after that.
  18. Apparently, if you shorten your name, you do good.....next year, your Milwaukee Brew.
  19. Nothing at all. He's currently pitching in AA, and probably would be in Huntsville this year, as well. It's more of a potential thing as opposed to a reality thing.
  20. It's Iowa. When was at college at a private university in Nebraska (no jokes necessary about Nebraska), I learned that Iowa stands out for Idiots Out Wandering Around.
  21. If the Brewers and Cubs were to share MP while Wrigley is getting rebuilt, MP would drop dramatically in ranking.
  22. I wouldn't want Cubs fans in MP more often than necessary....more than once is more often than necessary
  23. I could cry. No Yo and this really stinks. What a sucky day to be a Brewer fan. First the high of Turnbow being gone and now the low of Yo being hurt. At least we have Bush.
