  1. The better question is how do you get synthetic testosterone into your body? It sounds like he tested at more than 4 times the average level and then subsequent tests revealed that the testosterone was synthetic. No OTC product on the market is proven to elevate testosterone and there is certainly no OTC product which provides synthetic testosterone. He would have to have been prescribed a product such as Androgel, and to legally be taking a synthetic hormone requires league approval before use. Needless to say, this doesn't look good for Braun or the Brewers.Yeah. I want to believe him and give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's hard to with those facts. And what I don't get is how do professional athletes who use their bodies to make millions of dollars, take stuff and not know how it will affect them? Or, knowing they'll be tested for it, figure out whether it will show up on the test?
  2. So, with Braun now being out 50 games, what to do about LF? Move Hart over to left and play Gamel/Gindl in RF? Sign someone who can start in LF for those games?
  3. Last time I checked, Barry Bonds is available, as is Manny Ramirez and for the right price, Jose Canseco might consider returning.
  4. I wonder if Paul is even going to play this year. If he requested a trade, one was worked out and the commissioner himself said no, then why play?
  5. What bugs me about the trade/no trade is Stern says it's in the best interest of the NBA for CP3 to be in NO. That's like Bud saying, nope, Pujols can't sign as a free agent with the Angels....or, back in the day, Tags saying, nope, Reggie can't sign with the Packers. Stern is a tool, and has been for many years. I hope he gets the boot.
  6. It will not be Yuni. Let's be done with this conversation!
  7. Oh my gosh, this is awesome!!! Not as awesome as Reyes or Rollins, but heck, it signals NO MORE YUNI!!! For that, we all rejoice!
  8. Maybe he wanted to get away from McGwire and his "hitting techniques"....or maybe it's because he's actually 35 and realizes that as he gets older, it's going to be tougher for him to fool people with actually being able to play the field. Or, maybe he is actually a machine and he just did what his creator told him to do?
  9. I don't know if it was discipline or the fact that Al didn't really want to be in STL anymore.
  10. If it was something like a 5 year/$80-$90 million contract, I wouldn't be too upset if the Brewers signed Prince. I doubt it's going to happen.
  11. Ha ha!!! Definitely didn't see that coming!! Now he'll toil on the west coast and won't get as much love from ESPN and the east coast folk! I LOVE IT!!!! Now, if DM can get a decent ss, we're in business!
  12. Well then!! I'm speechless.
  13. I think he'll probably end up in Miami. Since they didn't get Al, they'll go for Prince.
  14. Not so fast.....follow up reports say not quite done yet.
  15. I'm good with this, replacing Alex G with Furcal, but if push comes to shove, I'll go with Alex. Maybe even throw in Bill Hall for a supersub role?
  16. I don't think it's the quietness, it's the quality of moves. Remember a couple of years ago, our Christmas present as Brewers fans was Jeff Suppan. Of course, last year, was amazing. So, I'm hopeful that it's a good gift and not the coal that was Suppan.
  17. Especially when there's no guarantee he is as old as he says he is!
  18. Looks like the Fish are going up to 10 years for Poo. Looks like a pretty similar contract to ARod....yeah, that worked well for the Rangers. Go Miami Go!!!! I'm all for getting Poo off of the Cards, and putting him on a team that might be competitive for a year or two, then rebuild which makes him irrelevant. And, you have to wonder with the shoulder/arm injuries he's had, how long he can go before a major injury.
  19. Pack yourself in a box and ship yourself. Cheapest way to go.
  20. This would be where we find out if Poo is about winning of $$$. If he wants to win, sure he'll probably win this year. But if he signs any longer than a 6 year contract, who is to say the Fish won't dismantle again? They've done it twice before. And good luck trying to find someone dumb enough to take on the albatross of the contract. If he wants to win long term, he won't go to Miami. If he wants $$$, he will. My bet is he will.
  21. Oh come on!! The Yankees with Jeter and ARod!!! Maybe that should be in blue....I don't know.
  22. I don't want Riske back. He did enough before. Maybe a NRI, but that's it.
  23. I saw that and thought about it. Or what a formidable middle of the order in Braun, Lee and ARam....I'd be interested in signing ARam and trading for Lee. It would be fun to hear Uke make horse noises when Lee hits a homer again.
