Great, my wife just asked me if they'll keep playing if no one scores and I explained that this wasn't soccer. (Yes, we've only been married 18 years, but she still has to ask me such questions.)

But, in this case, I suggest we make an exception and mutually agree that neither team really wants to win and we just passed the 185 minute mark so let's call it a tie.

Corey....the previous batter just walked....feel free to take a pitch.

(Nice slide by Weeks trying to break up the DP -- give him credit for playing even harder after getting benched.)

I cannot believe that a Ned Yost team would be dogging it down the line in crucial situations. This is ridiculous, and he needs to get through to them.

Balfour now? Well, it's been fun.

Agree. Weeks still plays his butt off even though he has had a very rough year. Unlike people on our team that play Catcher and wear #33.

I said it the other night, too, but if Weeks was a white guy, you'd hear announcers all over the league praising his grittiness. He runs hard, he breaks up DP's, hits catchers, get HBP, always has a dirty uniform - he's the definition of a "scrappy" player.

And to expand on my previous post...

After each of those games-someone would say "it's only one game."

That excuse is over now. We have blown enough games for that now to be said.

Balfour? Did Cordero eat some bad food in the clubhouse?

Bruce, duh. It's illegal to use your closer on the road in a non-save situation.

Balfour lives up to his name to lead off in the 12th.

He should not even be out there. It should be CoCo. This is stupid.

Completely burning out the bullpen is not how you want to start a string of 8 games in 7 days

True, but the Brewers are fortunate that Capuano was able to pitch 8 strong tonight.

Time to check the record book. Has any pitcher ever entered a tie game in the 12th with an ERA higher than 16.88? I guess the thinking is we can get 3 in our next half inning.

Oh, wait ... road game.

I had a dream the other night. A manager suffered an attack of common sense and actually broke this rule.

Wearing my heart on my sleeve since birth. Hopefully, it's my only crime.
