When guys like Ford and Cirillo(he's terrible against righties) are hitting well you know you just don't have it on that day.

This is a good day to have afternoon plans...I'm off to hike Mount Tamalpais and leave this game behind at sea level.

Here's to the Cubs melting down at Wrigley.

At least the Crew took to series and the Cubs are getting worked as well. Because of those two things as well as the fact that were able to manage a 5-4 road trip after getting no-hit and blowing a game vs. Texas it's hard to be too upset.

Exactly. And we get to watch Yo tomorrow.

Woohoo! I'm going to Yo's debut tomorrow. Can't wait.

I feel like I'll be happy if we just get through this game healthy. I'm not too upset about this loss. Suppan was brutal though.

Oh my God. We owe a 35-year-old Jeff Suppan $12.5M in 2010.

We better trade him the second after his full no trade clause is over after the 2008 season.

Doug, when did you become part owner of the Brewers? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Who would take him?

Uggh. That homer by Graffy is just making the Suppan start today even more depressing.

I know. I've totally become one of "those guys" that talks about the team as if I was a part of it... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Suppan is 7-8 (assuming the Brewers lose today) with a 4.69 ERA and a WHIP around 1.40. In 14 of his 15 starts, he has pitched well enough to keep us in the game and has been very good on a couple of occasions. Isn't that pretty much what we thought we were getting?

Some young crappy team that needs "veteran leadership" or a big market team that needs pitching...I don't care if we get anything decent for him.

Looking at the gamecast, it sure seems like the Twins brought the right approach to Suppan tonight. Every ball that was hit into play was hit to the right or up the middle except for two. And those two balls were hit by lefties.

I can't remember the last time we were down 9-4 in the 6th, and the opposing team has a dominant closer, and I've felt comfortable about our chances. This is weird.
