I hate this ump. No way that should've been called a strike on Hart after Parra has been getting squeezed on the outside corner.

Edit: And a second horrible called strike. The umps we've had this year have been horrid.

That whole AB looked awful on the ump's part--extremely inconsistent.

Cardinals Aflac Trivia:

Q: The last player to hit 50 home runs and then go homerless to start the next season for as long as Prince?

A: Ceceil Fielder 1991

Great Aflac trivia question:

who was the last 50 hr hitter to start the following season without hitting a HR in his first 14 games?

answer - Cecil Fielder

by the way, Lohse isn't exactly pitching to a tight strike zone

Prince loves breaking his dad's records...

This is so depressing...I have no confidence in us getting any hits with men on. Excluding Sunday, we haven't had any clutch hits with two outs for over a week.

I really wouldn't read all that much into the 4 BB with the strike zone he is getting. He does need to adjust to it better but with a different ump Parra would be throwing a great game.

That ball 1 to Miles was in exactly the same spot as the called strike 2 to Hart. Looks like I'm going to need to visit the cussin' corner today.

I feel bad for Parra, and any Brewers starter right now - they practically have to throw a no-hitter in order to look good compared to the opposing pitcher.

does aaron miles have a strike zone in this ump's eyes?

Tejada is celebrating his 31st, 32nd and 33rd birthday today with a solo shot.

Why can't we throw strikes?
