I'd rather see, Gwynn, Weeks, Hardy, Fielder, Jenkins, Estrada, Gross, Counsell, Sheets.

Just my opinion. Weeks hits for more power and will be protected more by Hardy, and counsell should bat 8th, not Gwynn.

id like to have Hardy in the 3 hole too..however right now, I don't think you move him anywhere..he is so hot right now, you just leave him alone

I predict a big win. "Smash Mouth Baseball" Gentlemen nothing less.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Jason Bay's first at-bat should be interesting after last night's events. I don't think Sheets hits him, but Dave Bush probably would. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

Why does everyone think Bay will be the one to get hit?

Because of the substitution last night?

Although I would love to see Sheets nail one of the Pirates, I'd rather we don't. Sheets doesn't need to get thrown out, and a fight could only help the Pirates, since we already appear to be an inspired, mortivated team on a hot streak.

Because he is their best player, and it could definitely be argued Fielder is our best.

It's the mentality that you hit one of our best players we hit your best. Who else are you gonna pick, LaRoche? Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Jack Wilson get hit, if anyone.

Its always funny hearing Uecker talk about Jack Wilson who could easily be the worst full time hitter in baseball over the past 6 years but has somehow managed a .778 OPS against us compared to a .676 career OPS.

Jack Wilson with another single... I can't stand this guy. Why can't he do this against the Cubs, instead?

Then Rickie pops up 3-1. He does that a lot.

That's the smart veteran play we brought him on board to do.

Especially going against a guy with a 7.00 ERA. We need to take aggressive chances on the basepaths b/c we might not score against him this game.
