Looks like we may be driving through thunderstorms to get to the park tonight, so I very much hope they can overcome the retro uniforms and play well. Be the Man(ny)!
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I think this is a "must lose" game. Think about it. If they win this won, they'll probably will win tomorrow (with Sheets), which means they will obviously not have the killer instinct to get the sweep on Sunday. If they lose today and win tomorrow, they'll be able to win on Sunday and have the needed momentum to do well in the upcoming series against Arizona. In other words:

momentum - killer insinct > killer instinct + Doug Davis ("cashed arm" version, not the cancer survivor one)

Good chance to catch up to the top half of the division in this series. Hopefully Parra can bounce back from that rough start in Washington and flash a little more of what he did a couple starts ago. Just throw strikes, plz.

Anyone know why the Terrace Reserved tickets are only $6.00 tonight? I know Friday nights are half price for college students for Terrace/bleachers, but was wondering what this was about.

Edit: Nevermind, if I wasn't dumb and lazy I would've found this: For six select dates during the 2008 season (April 9, May 30, June 18, July 11, August 18 and September 9), Terrace Reserved seats will be just $6. This promotion may not be combined with any other Milwaukee Brewers promotion.

Cameron is doing his job since he got on the field. Finally he hits one out at home, as he was doing more on the road. He has been all that the Brewers wanted when they signed him this offseason.

After the bunt to get the 2nd out, they showed a close up of Fielder. It looked to me like he had earplugs in (the inside of his ear sure looked white to me), any body have any ideas why he would do so?

Can we start alternating Hardy and Hall at SS vs RHP?

You can tell the ball is carrying, Kendall almost reached the warning track there

Hardy's BA and Slugging are both higher this year vs RHP, not that they are that good but he does not seem like a platoon candidate in that regard.

And his OBP is 70 points lower this season. Hardy's career splits:

VS LHP .288 .363 .520

vs RHP .252 .308 .376

He just doesn't get on base vs RHP. Neither does Hall but at least Hall still slg 450 against RHP.

Great point. Sheets always seems to perform best after the Brewers lose, so by dumping tonight's game, they will ensure a victory tomorrow. In fact, some random play during tomorrow's game could be that one single event/moment that makes all of our flaws disappear, sending us on a 10 game winning streak and turning around the season.
