If we could somehow pull out this game, we'd be in super great shape with both CC and Sheets pitching the next two. Still after pulling out the game tonight, you have to like our chances for at least a split in this series.

Pulling this over from yesterday's IGT. These are the 16 possible outcomes over the next 3 days (Brewer wins from left to right 0-1-2-3/Cubs wins from top to bottom). Coming in, there were 10 bad outcomes out of 25. Now there are just 3 "bad" outcomes out of 16. Not bad for 1 day of work...

Don't want to jinx us, but when was the last time the Brewer's were 15 games over .500? 1992? We got to 14 over 5 separate times last year, the last time on July 2nd. July 19th of last year we were 54-41 and it was all downhill from there. Just curious if anyone knows if it goes back to '92. A win tomorrow with CC going Wednesday? I'd take our chances.

I'm not gonna freak out if we lose this one..... BUUUUUT.... what a springboard this win would be, with CC and Benny going the next two. You're looking at a red hot team coming back to Miller Park for the biggest homestand to date this season.

Here's hoping someone hypnotized Soup and told him its October and they're in NYC.

Lohse has been amazing and Soup is a control pitcher coming off of a long layoff. I'm not expecting a win, but if the crew pulls this one out it could lead to all kinds of awesomeness.

Lohse has to come back to earth sometime right? Both pens were stretched a little last night so let's hope we have good Soup today. Otherwise, yank him immediately and let Bush go the distance...

What a long day of work this will be today. I just want to enjoy some Brewer baseball, and nothing else really. LaRussa can talk about accumulating wins all he likes, but this series could end up being a turning point in both these team's seasons. Rough up Lohse please.

Lohse against the Crew this year....

Apr 22 @ MIL L 8-9 - 4.0 8H 4ER

Apr 17 MIL L 3-5 - 7.0 5H 2ER

His starts were of the back to back variety with the Crew and you'll notice both ended in a loss. Keep it up. Also, it seems a little less muggy today so maybe that's a good thing for Soup (though I don't know why, I am searching for any advantage here).

Great game - I'll be in attendance at this one (447A - row 2 - seats 3 through 6) Go Crew!

You must be a big boy. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Suppan is on pace to give up 7 runs tonight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

JUN 8 @ COL - 1ER

JUN 14 MIN - 2ER

JUN 20 BAL - 3ER

JUN 25 @ ATL - 4ER

JUL 1 @ ARI - 5 ER

JUL 6 PIT - 6ER

Here's to hoping he can re-start the "cycle" at 1 ER or even (gasp) 0 ER after that stint on the DL

i like that CV wasn't used last night so he can step in easily if Suppan can't get comfortable.

Hopefully Suppan's rest did him well, as he needs to get up to the level of our other starting pitchers lately.
