Maybe the offense can pretend CC is pitchig, so Sheets doesn't have to be perfect to get the win? Kapler has filled in admirably but that Kapler/Counsell lineup isn't even average, IMO.

Here's what TH wrote about his conversation with Braun about the injury before today's game:

Leftfielder Ryan Braun, who felt more discomfort Monday night in his intercostal area and had to leave the game, is not in the lineup tonight against Houston.

Braun missed six games last week with the problem but I just talked to him and he said he didn't think he'd have to miss any lengthy period this time.

"I think I could play today," said Braun, who came out of the game Monday night after striking out in the sixth inning and showing obvious discomfort.

"It's just one of those nagging injuries that's probably not going to go away completely while I'm playing. I'll have to deal with it. I hope it goes away completely. But, realistically, the way this game is, it probably won't."

I asked Braun how much he aggravated the condition last night but he played that down.

"(Manager Ned Yost) just took me out as a precaution," said Braun. "We were up, 7-2.

"I can definitely play with it. It's not 100% but I can deal with it. I think it'll eventually get better. I hope it does."

Remember, Ben Sheets,

You don't have to top CC

Just pitch well tonight.

Position players:

Do Ben and us a favor

Run support tonight.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I think I might be experiencing deja vu... is this the same crappy line up that gave no run support for Sheets last time he pitched? Honestly, I would have no problem making Rivera Sheets' designated catcher until his bat cooled off.

Well, good thing they aren't facing Peavy again. He never makes an offense look bad.

Hey guys! Quick question... Just moved to downtown Madison and i need a good sports bar to watch the game at tonight. Any ideas?

My priorities go like this:

1. Viewing Quality (quality, size, and placement of tv's)

2. Food Quality

3. Location (preferably downtown, but i'll drive somewhere if it's real good).

Any info is greatly appreciated!

If this is the Cameron that Melvin was anticipating at offer sheet time, does it really make sense to have him batting 7th and not protecting Hart?

EDIT:

Oh, and if anyone suggests that Boogie is "more comfortable batting 7th" so why switch it up?... well, save it. I don't speak Yostian.

The bar attached to the Essen Haus has the teevee, I'm pretty sure. But maybe I'm only saying that because I really want to be at the Essen Haus right now.

Statistically it makes almost no, if any, difference. Protection only exists in a players mind (see Hardy, J.J.)
