Regarding Favre as a villain,

"You know, little twerps like you always get their comeuppance."

Hans Landa will be getting some votes soon.

A short list of my own favorites.

The Joker

Frank Booth

Adolf Hitler

Max Cady

The various #2 from The Prisoner

Michael Corleone

Nurse Ratched

I'll think about a few more.

Just saw Inglorious Basterds myself last night and I completely agree with RobertR's Hans Landa call. It's hard not to agree based off of the 1st scene in the movie alone. Great movie by the way.

Also,

The various #2 from The Prisoner

Agreed here. There were a couple of #2's that were downright terrifying.

Looking forward to seeing Ian McKellan as #2 in AMC's remake of The Prisoner this fall.

a lot of people have Nurse Ratchet as a villain, but if you watch the movie again from her point of view it's hard for me to call her a villain anymore.
