He started the season opener, and he starts the season ender - to the dismay of much of Brewerfan.net. For crying out loud, he even started the spring training opener.

Honestly, that tortilla soup looks pretty good.

When I hear the two-syllable pronunciation of Joel Pineiro's first name, it always makes me think of Jor-El of Superman lore.

Anyway...I'd appreciate not having a loss staring back at me from the Brewerfan home page for the next six months. Please?

This has not been the season many of us hoped for, but lets end it with a win. Please? Brewers baseball, I will miss you.

Suppan starting reminds me of the game Favre started at the end of a season and only played a few downs just to keep his streak alive.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

That should ensure Escobar's rookie status for next year.

That double reminds me I have to get a hold of FTJ and get my case of beer.

I believe regardless of this games outcome we have won the season series. Is that correct? I know at Busch we have pretty much dominated them.
If the Brewers win today, the season series will be split 9-9.

You are right about the relative dominance at Busch. The Brewers only won 2 of 9 games vs. STL in Miller Park. (I can't believe I was at both of them.)

I hate when Bob starts thanking everyone in the organization. Not because they aren't due the props, but because it means it's the last broadcast of the year.

Anyone up for one more in-game chat? You know where the room is.

I would not have guessed that Jeff Suppan and his wife are expecting their first child this month (per Uecker). I did not realize they didn't already have kids.

Here's hoping he does not take the Ben Sheets method of child naming, otherwise we're looking at Kendall Rivera Suppan. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Gone! for Fielder! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

How dare Prince do that so soon after the extra little lovefest for Baseball Jesus over his new assist record. How unclassy.

That at bat means that Gamel is no longer eligible for rookie of the year consideration in the future.

The milestones keep on falling!!!

RBI #140 for Prince

SB #20 for Braun

Also, if we finish 80-82, that will tie 1996 as our 4th best season in the last 17 years.

Eww, Patterson in for Cam. That last catch Cam made was terrific, but I didn't like the shock his body had to absorb in the process.

Matt Holliday has already been ascending my most-hated players list, with a bullet, not including this upcoming at bat. Come on, Seth.

Edit: I suppose that could have been worse. On to Chris "I was schmucked in the face" Smith.

FINISH THEM!

I'm shocked - shocked! - to hear that "Everybody clap your hands!" bit in the background. Seems a little frivolous for the STL.

I am shocked that TLR allows his rookie shortstop to look like that......socks with stripes, that overly fake-looking mustasch........ugh........cannot belive the baseball gods would allow that look.

Nice of the crew to give Macha their faith, so he can mismanage the bullpen one more game. Where is our pen? Chris Smith to blow the game?

Not happy. Come on Prince, get it done!

Can't believe this game is now tied.
Not that I would ever, ever take the side of today's opponent, but more than a few of those classy fans must have said the same thing on Friday.

Worst case scenario, they complete the comeback and today is kind of like our season in a nutshell, except we wouldn't be able to pin this particular one on either Soup or Loop.
