Uecker called it a check swing strike.

And I was at the game on Monday. They probably would cheer Soriano getting hit. He even got booed during introductions. It's going to be a long summer in Chicago for Soriano.

He tried checking his swing but went around.
All I'm saying is gameday has him getting called out on strikes and the way the umpire rang him up I would say that's right because they usually point if it's a check swing going around and the umpire never did that.

The best part is that the Cubs are paying Soriano $18m per year for the next four seasons after this one, and he has a full no-trade clause.

Also: I'm following on Gameday, so until you folks mentioned it, I had no indication of a swing by Escobar.

Bush turns in the first really good start of the year for the Brewers' rotation. Way to go, Dave. And in an efficient 77 pitches too. Let's get a few and get the guy a W.

How old will Soriano be at the end of that contract? I'm just saying, if he can double dip with Social Security it'll be pretty sweet for him.

"It seems like every game Soriano costs them at least a run on defense. He doesn't have a clue."

As much as I like to rip on Braun for being a poor outfielder, he is nowhere near the level of Alfonso "Sorry Oh No!"

BA just called Braun grounding out with a man on second and one out a productive out.

Wild pitch or passed ball scores a run! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
