So will the inevitable retaliatory beaning happen right away in the first? Or will the Brewers wait till the end when the game may already be decided? I say 1st inning.

Would you be strategic and go after Glaus hoping to increase Fielder's value? In the end though I'd advocate just letting it go as I don't see how it has done anything other than help us to just take the base.

Provided no warnings are issued prior to the game, I'll put my chips on Parra drilling Heyward in the back or leg in the first inning and this whole thing will be over with.

To me, Macha calling for suspensions means he has no intentions of doing anything about it himself.

If Atlanta was smart, since they have the last at-bat if no warnings are given before the game all they have to do is hit one of our guys in the first, get warnings called on both sides and not really have to worry about retaliation until later in the game b/c Parra cannot have a short outing today with Cappy going tomorrow and only going 4 innings max.

Although Macha (wisely) does not participate in meaningless bean-balling, I expect that the time has come to retaliate. They are the ones in the playoff race, not us.

Chipper's a scratch today and has been replaced in the lineup by Omar Infante, who will bat third. The start of the game has also been delayed due to rain.

Most updated information claims the start time is 1:10pm CDT.

On occasion you'd think that Macha would understand that you have to back up your players on certain occasions. As tough as it might be for Macha to figure it out, this is one of those times. Earlier in the year when the whole Rapuano thing happened, Macha did nothing and lost respect in the clubhouse. If he doesn't do anything about this, it only backs reinforces that fact that he shouldn't be leading this team. Last night, Cox knew his pitcher was wrong, but he still went out and argued and got ejected because he backs up his players no matter what. How nice it must be to have a manager fighting for ya. This is one case where it would have been nice to still have Ned Yost.

It might reinforce your beliefs, but the idea that Macha should be a dope like Cox and get thrown out all the time arguing for nothing really isn't a "fact." Its one thing to argue to back up your players and despite the hyperbole from the haters, he does that. Going out when there is nothing to argue is stupid. The Brewers have been regularly hitting opposing teams after they hit the Brewers, it just hasn't been done in a clumsy, stupid fashion like last night.
