I know it's early, but d'oh, the NL Central so far is doing its thing again, isn't it? (4-0 Phillies in the 2nd; Volquez lasts 1.2 innings)

Picking Volquez to start Game 1 might've been a shaky idea, but I don't think there's a pitcher in the entire league that Dusty Baker could've picked that would have kept them in a game against Halladay (well, other than Cliff Lee today).

I was surprised with David Price's rocky start in the first game of the day, but that's why the playoffs are a crapshoot.

I wish I had cable to watch what Roy Halladay is doing to the Reds right now.

On a side note, the last NL Central team to win a playoff game looks like it will continue to be the 2008 Brewers, at least for one more day.

I wonder how Phillies Nation feels about Brian Anderson's complete comfort level with talking out loud about how well Roy Halladay is pitching.

I mean, we're used to it, but they might not be.

you know, I understand it has nothing to do with what the outcome will be, and it's really not something that should bother me but...It bugs me to no end that BA talks about "pitching well". I get it might be a pointless baseball superstition but I still won't talk about it.

Halladay is lucky that Ruiz did not trip over Phillips' bat. That was an extremely difficult play.

Citizen's Bank Park is a horrible place for visiting teams in the postseason, and I have only terrible memories of that place.

Wait, someone told me once that the Brewers would never throw a no hitter because Anderson mentions it all the time? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I'm surprised to see a Twins home playoff game with no hankies or other giveaway for Minnesota fans to hoist or wave.

Oh, and no no-no for you tonight, CC.

Wow, got back from the dog park just in time to see the 9th inning of the Phillies game. Talk about a historic performance, that's really the type of thing to make the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

Very happy for Brian Anderson that he got to call that historic game by Halladay. I am glad I got to watch almost the entire thing, got home from work a little after 5 and I was locked in right away. Halladay was sooooooo good. It almost wasn't fair, it was unbelievable and incredible at the same time. It reminded me once again why I think baseball is the best sport. You don't get anything like that from the others.

Liriano with a Parra-esque meltdown. I sure hope the Twins can pull this one out somehow.

Edit: Sabathia also with a Parra-esque meltdown, just Variety B instead of Variety A. Bases juiced for JJ.
