Introducing the Tony Plush Gentleman's T-Shirt

Hello Everyone,

I know I'm not alone here but Nyjer Morgan aka Mr. Tony Plush is quickly becoming one of my favorite Brewers. To honor him I give you the Tony Plush Gentleman's T-Shirt. While we may never be as classy as Mr. Plush, we can come pretty close by showing support by wearing this shirt.

I'll be selling these outside the ballpark next homestand. Sizes M, L, XL, XXL. $10 each. Go Brewers!

I take it this isn't MLB approved...

It'd be cool except for the front. All in all, a cool idea. I hope he knows we appreciate him so far in the early going

It's not MLB-authorized, but I don't know how MLB could object to a name and number on the back of a shirt, especially when the name PLUSH does not appear on a MLB roster. It's not like they can copyright the number 2. If it had a Brewers logo or the word Brewers, then you'd be at risk of cease-and-desist type action.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I really would like to get one of these in a XXL (especially since my custom PLUSH shirt order from brewers.com was cancelled), but I'm not going to be able to make it to any games for a while. Is there any way you could ship me one? If there's any way it would be greatly appreciated.

Also looking for a shipped shirt...or a fellow Fox Valley fan to pick one up for me http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

If the Brewers logo is included, you start to risk copyright violation and cease and desist orders.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

Corey I have an old school Admirals jersey in blue that I have no use for. There's no Brewers logo on it though. It's the one with the anchors in the striping.

Thanks guys! Glad you like them.

I was just going to sell them walking around the stadium or bars/tailgate areas during the Astros series since I will be going to friday and saturday's game and maybe Easter Sunday as well since I will be in the Milwaukee area visiting family.

I'm looking into some shipping/payment options I'll keep you guys posted. The shirts should be arriving this Thursday at the latest so I have some time.

I definately want to follow mlb rules and not violate anything so no official logos or names were used.

When Nyjer was on the Pirates, he talked about Tony Plush being a gentleman. Yesterday before the game, he did an interview with Telly talking about how Tony Plush is the man you see on the field. Tony Plush is a hardcore, balls-to-the-wall player while Nyjer Morgan is the gentleman and the man who does interviews. Somewhere along the way, it seems as if Nyjer/Tony switched personalities. I liked it better when Tony Plush was the gentleman but now it seems that that role is occupied by Mr. Morgan. I still the like the shirt but if we go along with what he/they have said in interviews, Morgan should be on the back of this shirt and Plush should be on the back of the jerseys.
This is Jack Burton in the Pork Chop Express, and I'm talkin' to whoever's listenin' out there.

As long as no MLB/team names, logos, or trademarks are on it it's totally OK. #2, or Plush, could be anybody and colors certainly aren't trademarked.

I think enough people will know that it will be fine. Heck, most people don't know who Mark DiFelice is, but I still wear that t-shirt jersey to games.

If Brewcrew79 decides that he can offer these shirts via mail, at that point, a companion thread should be started in the Trading Post. It can certainly be linked to from this topic.

The Trading Post is safer for posting ordering information, e-mail addresses, etc. Because it's a private forum, it's hidden from search engines.

As things stand, this thread is cool in Off Topic because it's intended to provide some news rather than to sell shirts online.

EDIT: Certainly feel free to use this topic to continue to express interest; just don't add your personal contact information. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
