Hilarious. I'll take it!
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Even better pitch there. Thanks Montgomery and Maddon for keeping him in there. Don't see why he would try a little harder to win.

Maddon and the Cubs offense basically gave them that win.

For being such an amazing manager Maddon sure was scared to use his closer or basically anyone other than a long reliever.

In looking at the relay again, I think Montgomery blocked the plate. I dont believe you can do that anymore if you dont have the ball first. So even if there was a good throw the ump could have ruled Braun safe.

Braun or Montgomery could have been hurt in that play. Braun could have twisted an ankle sliding into Montgomery's thigh an Montgomery could have been spiked by Bruan. Dangerous play, but that was how the game used to be played.

I'll never forget that slide by Prince in which he layed out the catcher

Well that's definitely the most satisfying win of the season, lol.

Haha, I guess we can comfortably say that on April 7!

I had low expectations not so much for the game as for the fan interaction experience. Here's what happened within my earshot/view:

- Literally the first thing I heard upon opening the car door in the Molitor Lot: WORLD CHAMPIONS, BAYBEEEEEEE!

- The SSH early entry line was slow going for a bit because of CHC fans having the season seat holder policy explained to them and being turned away ahead of us. Other CHC fans had passes that they presumably received from Brewers SSHs.

- CHC couple entered our loge section behind me, with the husband conspicuously saying to his wife, YOU MEAN WE HAVE TO SIT NEAR BREWERS FANS?

He wasn't a young dudebro, either. I didn't even flinch, much less turn around, and enjoyed listening to his wife shut him down. I didn't hear him again the rest of the night.

- Those of you who follow me on Facebook know I take lots of photos at games. I do this primarily for my mom, who likes baseball but can't physically make it to games. One thing I always photograph is the line score at the end of each game. On this night, I took the photo of a monitor in the concourse. A CHC fan walking behind me conspicuously said, "You'd think they'd won the World Series!" Another guy who maybe isn't quite old enough to be my dad, but definitely older than I am. I mean, geez.

Having listed all these, I will admit that most of the heart of the game was not terrible, maybe because the score was close. (Note that we were in the loge family section in front of the press box - about as tame a spot as you can get on nights like this.) Also, some Brewers fans were not on their best behavior, though I think some of that was borne of frustration over CHC fans being so numerous and therefore loud.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
