With the 3rd pick in the draft, the San Diego Padres select RHP/SS Hunter Greene from Notre Dame (Calif.) High School.

 

I pulled the trigger on this pick a couple of hours early as Greene was the unanimous selection of BF.net users - the first time we have had a unanimous pick since we started doing this last year.

Lewis is a nice prospect but I'd take Gore. I think it will be Lewis, though.

This is a tough one since in addition to either Royce Lewis or MacKenzie Gore, it's easy to picture the Rays making a move for a slightly under slot deal with a college player such as Adam Haseley or J.B. Bukauskas. For our purposes here I will stick with best player available, and give the slight nod to pitching.

This was a tight vote, with Lewis edging out MacKenzie Gore 8 to 6. Adam Haseley got the only other vote on this pick.
