Brewerfan.net 2017 Community Mock Draft

[Austin Tatious]

Cincinnati at 1.2. Brendan McKay as a pitcher.

I have seen some speculation that they'd take Greene but in the end I think they get the high floor pitcher in McKay. And I'm not just saying that because I'd hate to see Greene go within the division.

[Oxy]

1.2 McKay

1.2 Hunter Greene

1.2 Hunter Greene

[ZBTMP]

Reds select Hunter Greene at 1-2. McKay being relatively local and they may like his proximity to the major if they think they need to make another run with Votto, but the Reds needs some impact talent and Greene has that.

With the second pick in the 2017 draft, the Cincinnati Reds select Brendan McKay, LHP/1B, Louisville.

The San Diego Padres are on the clock. Please make your selection by EOD on Thursday, June 1.

The Reds pick of McKay was a pretty tight one - with Hunter Greene a close second. Here's a breakdown of the voting:

McKay - 8

Greene - 6

Lewis - 1

Gore - 1

I don't think there is any chance of Greene getting past pick #3, in this mock or in real life

[MilwaukeeBeers]

Padres- Hunter Greene

[madbad2000]

1.3 Hunter Greene

[Eye Black]

Barring something shocking surrounding Hunter Greene taking place over the next 10 days, #3 overall would seem to be Greene's floor.

1.3 San Diego Padres: Hunter Greene, RHP, Notre Dame HS (Calf.)

1.3 Hunter Greene

No brainer if he gets to three.

Padres select Hunter Greene at 1-3. If he is there, I see no way the Padres are passing.
