It's comical reading through all these pages when it's negative comment after negative comment.

A bunch of crap in the pen and we all act like we could manage it better than CC. Laughable.

Have you watched this game? The pen isn't great but Counsell has managed it incredibly poorly tonight.

I mean, I get it. But Jared Hughes has a 3.74 FIP and a 116 ERA+. That's pretty solidly above-average. Not crap. I just don't see a situation in which he's not a better choice than Drake to start the seventh.

True, but I'm pretty sure Barnes is similar and most want him for mop up innings.

I wish I could easily lookup ERA+ for starters and relievers. Relievers should only be compared to other relievers, and I would think his ERA would be solidly average to below average.

71 mph curveball right down the middle and Arcia swings right through it.

Ill give him props for that great 2 strike approach though. Villar should be taking notes

It's easy to say what the correct call was in hindsight. What CC has to work with are a bunch of square pieces to put in round holes. His best bet might be turning to position players for the 6-7-8ths.

Lucky for the Twins Susac isn't their catcher, or that strike 3 to Broxton would have appeared a foot outside instead of just 2 inches outside like it actually was.

Santana is like the last guy you want up right now the way he has gone lately. He just got his best pitch to hit and could do nothing with it.

I'll take him over just about anybody

-1, soon to be -1.5.

Goodnight.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.
