2018-06-13: Cubs (Montgomery) at Brewers (Chacín) 1:10 PM CDT [Brewers win, 1-0]

[abqbrewer]

This. Is. Dumb.

And, sadly, it worked perfectly.

[wildcat83]

Come on Corey, please be sharp.

[ReverendBrewmeister]

0-for-7 with RISP, but still a chance to hold on for a win.

Asking for near perfection from the bullpen. Let's see the good Knebel.

[MrTPlush]

Seriously?! Hader only got 3 strikeouts in an inning?!? He never shows any improvement....

[YelichPosse]

cain is always able

[Fear The Chorizo]

loud out...2 more!

[FVBrewerFan]

Me either, I enjoyed it. 1-0, every ab mattered, what if the ball is hit to the pitcher in the of, fun stuff. Time of game means nothing ro me.

[abqbrewer]

cain is always able

I'm not sure that was EVEn funny....

[KeithStone53151]

Maddon managed that inning brilliantly. Don't know why anyone here is mad. Does anyone actually know that they aren't supposed to get warmup pitches again, or just don't feel like he should?

The Brewers have had 4 hits all game. It was just as likely that either Duensing or Cishek make all 3 outs without trying to be fancy. It's a good idea, but there's also risk. But again as I've noted, both those pitchers are probably a defensive upgrade over sir belly flop in LF...but that's more of a knock on Schwarbers defense than anything.

[Harold Hutchison]

And a K.

One more out, then the Cubs fly the L!!!

[wildcat83]

Two down, no walks yet... Jeesh

[bigredrobbo]

FINISH HIMMMM!!!!!!!

[wildcat83]

FLY THE..... L

[Harold Hutchison]

CUBS LOSE!!!!

CUBS LOSE!!!!!!!

[OldSchoolSnapper]

Great pitching performance. Especially 7-8-9, wow. Huge series win. Let's keep this rolling.

[bigredrobbo]

Su-WEEEEEEEEEET!

[MadScientist]

2 of 3 from the Cubs, with back to back shutouts. Now the Cubs will have to start wondering what they need to do to score on the Brewers.

[pacopete4]

Fly that L!

Well done Brewers.

[ReverendBrewmeister]

1-0 win. Felt like a playoff game. Let Chicago fly the L!

[KeithStone53151]

Great managing Maddon, all that fancy maneuvering for a loss...

[Harold Hutchison]

Nasty Boys 2018:

Jeffress, Hader, Knebel

Slamming the door on the Cubs.

[buckybrewer232]

Huge series win! What a performance by the pitching outside Albers. Wow!

[adambr2]

Wow did Knebel ever make that look easy.

Would have felt better these last few innings with some insurance, but one was enough. Great job pitching. We owed em a couple shutouts.

[MoreTrife]

Sorry I don't trust Knebel at all. He'll walk at least two.

Good to be wrong.

[wildcat83]

1-0 shutout win without Bryant getting an AB.

Maybe Maddon read the Bryant comments from last nights IGT
