The Kratz honeymoon is over, folks. He isn't good at all.

Yet he's much better than Jett Bandy and Andrew Susac. Not many teams have good catchers let alone back ups.

Kratz is what he is. We could have a good backup if they put Pina there.

I think Guerra could have had a complete game shutout if not for two defensive screw ups adding 25 pitches now.

Miller's error and that dropped third strike cost Guerra around 20 pitches. Guerra has been lights out so far. Almost thinking that the sun/shadows are playing a big factor.

If only we had a seemingly competent young catcher in AAA who could take over as starter and push Pina into that role of 'good backup catcher.'

If only. My only guess is his defense could still use refinement. Kind of the typical catching prospect jargon.

Except he strikes out 1/3 of his AB.

You can’t go by AVG in COS... Bandy has the exact same average at COS currently

You guys are missing my point on Nottingham. I'm not expecting Colorado Springs numbers up here from him. Kratz isn't good. Pina would be an acceptable backup catcher. Catching situation is a hole in the lineup, so why not give a good look to the guy who actually could be a catcher of the future here?

Completely agree. It's time for Nottingham. .250/.300/.400 would be perfectly acceptable from C

Yep, they should be really looking at doing this move coming out of be all star break if the production (or lack of) continues from the catching department.

Only 21 pitches for Hader. Have to think he goes three innings, unless the Brewers have a chance to blow it open if his spot comes up this inning.

No no no. I'd like him to be available right away for the Braves series. 21 pitches will only need 1 day rest.

I don't understand this Facebook game. Is there actually video? All I'm seeing is pictures of my sister's trip to Yellowstone and my neighbor bragging about her kid's cheer squad.

If he isn't much of a drop off calling games and blocking pitches, bring him up. I dont want to add offense by subtracting defense and pitch calling.
