Ouch! Thames is showing in the lineup for game 2.

At any rate, Aguilar is being given a rest in game one so looks like Chase is going to have to deliver as a batter as well.

Our lineup is awful for game 1. With braun, agauliar, thames not playing i cant think of any other bat to call up since Santana is still reeling. I guess orf was our only option.

I would have thought DFA Orf, send Woodruff down, add Nick Ramirez to the 40 and call him up, Phillips as the 26th man.

 

Ramirez would have a lot of value in a DH - can pitch and pinch hit/not need to be pinch hit for. But he pitched last night .

So now that Jesus doesn't get all those days off for the all start break, is that why he isn't playing both games today? You have to think Craig is factoring that into how much he plays. Same with Yelich and Cain. One of those guys certainly isn't going to play game 2. And here you have games this team needs to win and one of the their few hitters that doesn't suck isn't playing and one probably won't the next game. Seems like it would have made more sense to stack your game 1 lineup and try and win that one and then rest some guys for game 2 and put out the crap lineup, not spread it out.
