Lol people thought it would end differently after Jeffress blown save. Pirates have scored 2 runs in last 20 games. This team has multiple leads at home. Season over.

If you are just waiting for the most opportune time to "rub it in" on fans who still have a glimmer of hope, you are accomplishing your mission.

We had a similar IGT to start the last series.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

There were a couple of wild Buckethead Brigade games in early 2004. The Chad Moeller cycle game vs. the Reds which Bill Hall won on a walkoff 9-8. Then the next one was the Helms walkoff (14 innings).

More, "let's get the hell outta here" calls from blue.

They've had many, many innings to not let the ump be a factor.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave

I can’t stand that Aguilar jogs everywhere.

When I was in college I attended an 18 inning game. Sheets started, crew down 0-5 in 9th, came back to tie it with big hits from Brooks Kieshnick, and Scott Podsednik in the rally. Ended in the 18th with a Wes Helms walk off. I think it was some Tuesday promo where you got a shirt dog soda ticket for like $20, sat way up in the 400’s by the left field foul pole, and I think they did the pregame up there. Bucket head brigade night maybe???? Stayed the whole time and was on tv multiple times late cuz our section was mostly still full.

I feel like I would definitely remember a 5-0 9th inning comeback that went 18 innings. Do you remember what year that was?

2003? 2004?

I’ll see if I can find it

It was only 14 innings, I had in my head 18 for some reason.

I’m sadly realistic. Not rubbing it in. Best team for half the year and lost lol .

My little brother's birthday is May 11th but that was a weekday so my dad took him to the game on Sunday which happened to be the game Sheets struck out 18. Now my little brother doesn't like baseball or pretty much any sport at all and my dad didn't let me or my brother go to that game with them for reasons still unknown to me. I'm still kind of mad about it.
