I remember a pre-season analytical projection that said Moose could lead the league in HR. Doing well so far!

Followed up by Grandal, nice.

Another short start looming for chase. When Nelson’s back he should go to the pen. Throwing too many pitches, plus he relies on his FB more than gio or Chacín, and he’ll get a tick or 2 more in the pen.

Imagine if Shaw and Aguilar hadn't collapsed this season? :( Could have had 4/5 of our infield on pace for 30+ HR season, and oh yeah throw in Christian Yelich in the outfield.

With Braun Gamel being capable of 30 between them.

SS and CF being the non 30 HR positions.

And we’d be 12-15 games over to boot.

Just saw that shaw is coming back results be dammed. Very disappointing. Had hoped that brewers would put performance ahead of relationships. I like shaw as much as the next guy but he hasn't proven anything in his time on the farm. I'm hoping this means he's taking Thames place in the first base platoon. If it's Hirua that's a problem.

If its Hiura its financial.

I’m glad Travis is on his way back. Big part of the team. He will get it going.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

Where's this shaw report, I haven't seen it yet. NM found it. Yeesh. He hasn't been all that good in AAA. He's had hits in games where our pitchers got to their pitcher and guys like spang and saladino raked.

I'm... good luck Travis.

Seemed like a throw a decent 1B should have been able to make the catch. Oh well.

I thought the same, but also a pretty terrible throw.

He pulled it towards RF. An agile 1b could have picked it but its still more on Hiura than Thames in my opinion. Not all on Hiura though. I'd go 3/4th to 2/3rds on Hiura.

No way the Brewers are making moves based on costs 4-5 years from now, just no way. We don’t even know if Hiura will even command enough to actually make that big of a cost difference down the road.

That's probably true, but Hiura isn't the weakest link so if its him, what's the motivation?

For whatever reason Chase looks way better in the pen? Anyone else agree or no?

He’s just a better pitcher than gio or Chacín. But especially in the pen. Like I said earlier his FB upticks which helps chase more than the uptick helps gio or Chacín.
