Whew, quite a few sighs of relief after that inning. Do they just let Hader finish this one? Or do we go with Albers or Claudio for the 8th?

I'd go with Claudio.

Up 5 runs right now? I mean, I know he hasn't pitched much lately, but I hate to pitch him two innings in a 5-0 game and lose him for the Diamondbacks.

Or maybe this team just turned the corner and is breaking out like Walter Payton in an open field...

Well that is is what alot is of people including myself said about last night's win.

Guerra up.

Ump did Peralta no favors that inning.

"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

This is the tough decision's Counsell has to make. I say start with Jeffress?

Freeman is first up. So Claudio for that and if he doesn't get him, yank him. Need to start viewing him as a lefty specialist. Would be nice to try and get through without using Hader or at least only using for 1 inning so he can be available tomorrow

Or just put up a crooked number here and hand the ball to Burch ;)

Don’t forget Ben Oglivie. He was a stick figure. I appreciate your efforts to debate my statement and you provided ample evidence. I still am amazed that those guys generate that kind of power.

Lol, Bill complimenting Saladinos out. That's the point were at now.

MLB Gameday said he flew out sharly to right.

Ya, it was a decent out. My point was he had been so bad they have to justify to the fans subtlety about him still being up....it was still an out. They did it last night to, with an OK defensive play in the first. Talked about it for 6 innings

yes Saldino did hit that very well. I think one of his earlier outs was struck well too but still not producing.

FYI, I just checked on Perez. HE's at .189 with a 520 OPS in AAA so far. Only 9 games and 37 ABs but he hasn't gotten out of his funk yet so they'll probably just stick with Saladino for a bit. But maybe we can start playing him less please

I can understand opening with Guerra. I think I'd like to see Hader pitch the 9th regardless...unless of course he's needed to get out of a mess in the 8th. We have a full day and a half off...so I would think he'd for sure be ready for Thursday night.
