This isn’t must win (a loss yesterday would have made it that way in my opinion), but quite a turning point either way. Either down 2.0 games...suddenly right there in the thick of it...or still 4 out on the verge of our season being over.

At some point you have to gain games...stellar opportunity here.

Great team win last night. Let’s get another one today please. Biggest game of the season thus far. And biggest start of Houser’s career to this point. Let’s go!!!!!

I know there are literally no other options but an IF of Perez, Spanginflinger, and Arcia is beyond barf. Throw in Austin at 1B and that's like a AAA no-star squad out there.

And those guys will probably be the difference in the game today, because baseball.

Gotta hope that Braun and Cain are healthy enough to make a difference today.

This line-up should produce 1-2 runs at most, which is why they will knock out a 10 spot today!

I'd like to see Yelich hit 2 bombs and swipe 2 bags today to get that much closer to that 50/40 mark...

Screw it, we don't have the men for it but neither did Jon Snow. Let's go on a Cardinals 2006/2011 and win it all with half a team of crappy players!

Tyler Austin is the #5 hitter.

This sounds like a promising day ahead!

While he isn't and never will be an all-star he has given decent ABs for the most part.

Has that ever been done?

It would be remarkable.

No, 50/30 has never been done. That’s what he is shooting for realistically. I doubt he has 10 more steals in him...never know though.

Made me chuckle with the John Snow reference!

All I know is I miss Rock.

Austin must have gotten scratched. I'm a bit surprised they didn't have Freitas start behind the dish and Grandal at first.

Counsell said he likes Freitas as a pinch hitter. Another way of saying CC doesn’t like Freitas. Would have been nice to see Freitas get 3-4 AB’s today off the lefty.

2006 not that great...2011 was a legit team.

That being said, both are notably better than our horrendous roster.

Braun needed his right side stroke.

Welp, that might've been our chance for runs today aside from the occasional solo homer. Gotta cash in there

I'm no doctor, but I have a hard time understanding how Braun can be in a condition where he can't even pinch hit with the season potentially on the line in a late tie game and literally 15 hours later be in good enough condition to not only play but start.
