Schroeder: plenty of time to get the offense going.

Me: There’s plenty of time but not plenty of offense.

The Pirates have become my least favorite team to play just because they flat out stink but always find a way to play us tough. Hopefully the offense can win one today.

That inning sucked.

Every one of the Pirates balls put in play were below average exit velocity.

It would certainly be nice if the Brewers could make up for some of the previous outings this season where Burnes has received no run support.

They managed to get through the first inning in a snappy 31 minutes.

Anyone want tickets for tomorrow?

Not sure I can take 4 hours of watching the Pirates dink the ball all over the field while the Brewers flail away aimlessly.

Burnes getting smoked by the pirates. Let’s hope this is a blip

Get him out of there

They’ve literally hit just one ball hard the entire game so far. I certainly wouldn’t advocate for removing him at this point, that would be awful for the bullpen to have to cover 7+ innings today.

Is there a way that burnes can give the pirates negative runs?

I’d take a 0 to -1 win today

Nope, you gotta remember we're playing [sarcasm]one of the best teams in baseball, the Pittsburgh Pirates.[/sarcasm]

I wouldn’t take him out now but he’s going to be near if not over 50 pitches to get through 2

innings. He isn’t going more than 3 or 4 regardless, then the Pirates can feast on Lindblom. Double digits for the Bucs is pretty likely.

It’s almost a certainty we’ll make Kuhl look like a perennial all-star out there which means this one is as good as over.

The chart they showed of Kuhl and other pitchers all-time that have dominated the Brewers included Jerry Reuss. I remember the Brewers trading for Reuss when he was 40 years old seemingly because of how good he’d been against them. So maybe in dozen years from now they’ll trade for an over the hill Chad Kuhl.

You know there are going to be games like this but watching them is hard just the same. Tons of weak contact……a throwing error and it’s 4 runs and a bunch of pitches for your starter.

Bad luck city today
