Predict the Brewers record for July

Posted

I know we are a day late, but what is your prediction for the Brewers record in July? With 15 road game and only 9 games at home it promises to be a little more challenging than June.

I’ll go 14-10 which somehow feels like it would be disappointing, but would also keep them moving in the right direction.
Not just “at Night” anymore.

I think we get a bit tired going into the break (5-6), but we will be refreshed coming out. We also get a lot of off days that should really help our main strength, pitching (9-4).

Overall: 14-10

15-9 sounds good.
"This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while.

I think we go about .500 in July... after pushing the win streak to 20 or so.

Overall 19-5

Congrats Plush and Eye Black.

We had 3 other 15-9 guesses, including myself, that were oh so close!

I will give myself the extra pat on the back for also correctly predicting the pre and post AS Break records for the month. Haha

July (14-10) was a weird month. 12 of 14 wins had a run differential of 4 or more versus only 1 of 10 losses, while the Brewers only went 2-9 in either/or games with a run differential of 3 or fewer. Full July breakdown...

Wins (12-0): 1st 7-2 | 2nd 7-2 | 3rd 11-2 | 7th 5-0 | 16th 11-6 | 18th 8-0 | 23rd 7-1 | 24th 6-1 | 27th 9-0 | 28th 7-3 | 29th 12-0 | 30th 9-5

Losses (0-1): 31st 1-8

Either/Or (2-9): 4th 0-2 | 5th 2-4 | 7th 3-4 (8) | 8th 5-3 | 9th 0-2 | 10th 3-4 | 11th 1-3 | 17th 7-4 (11) | 20th 2-5 | 21st 3-6 | 25th 1-3

That brings the season total to 30 wins, 15 losses and 32-28 in either/or games.

Run differentials are +176 in wins, -95 in losses & +6 in either/or.

April, May, June breakdowns if anybody curious...

Most seasons the best team is still going to lose like fifty games & the worst team is still going to win about fifty, so any given team's season essentially comes down to what they do with those sixty two or so games in the middle.

April (16-10)...

Wins (7-0): 6th 4-0 | 10th 9-5 | 11th 9-3 | 14th 7-0 | 17th 7-1 | 20th 6-0 | 25th 6-0

Losses (0-5): 4th 2-8 | 16th 1-6 | 23rd 2-15 | 26th 0-8 | 28th 2-6

Either/Or (9-5): 1st 6-5 (10) | 3rd 0-2 | 5th 3-5 | 8th 1-3 | 10th 4-2 (10) | 12th 6-3 | 13th 2-3 | 18th 5-6 (10) | 19th 3-1 | 21st 4-2 | 24th 4-3 | 27th 5-4 | 29th 2-1 | 30th 3-1

May (13-15)...

Wins (3-0): 8th 6-2 | 23rd 9-4 | 29th 6-2

Losses (0-5): 2nd 4-16 | 7th 1-6 | 15th 1-5 | 21st 4-9 | 25th 1-7

Either/Or (10-10): 1st 6-5 (11) | 3rd 3-4 | 4th 5-6 | 5th 4-5 | 6th 0-2 | 9th 2-1 (10) | 11th 1-6 (10) | 12th 4-1 | 13th 0-2 | 14th 3-6 | 16th 10-9 | 18th 0-2 | 19th 4-6 | 22nd 4-3 | 24th 5-3 | 26th 1-2 (10) | 27th 6-5 (10) | 29th 4-1 | 30th 3-0 | 31st 3-2 (10)

June (19-8)...

Wins (8-0): 4th 5-1 | 8th 5-1 | 10th 7-2 | 22nd 5-0 | 26th 10-4 | 27th 5-0 | 28th 14-4 | 30th 15-7

Losses (0-4): 9th 3-7 | 14th 2-10 | 17th 3-7 | 21st 1-5

Either/Or (11-4): 1st 7-10 | 3rd 7-4 | 5th 7-5 | 6th 2-0 | 11th 7-4 | 12th 7-4 | 13th 5-2 | 15th 1-2 (10) | 16th 1-2 | 18th 5-6 (10) | 19th 6-5 | 20th 7-6 | 23rd 3-2 | 25th 5-4 (11) | 29th 2-1
