There can't possibly be anyone here that is still pleased with that Yelich contract, is there?

I would guess the poster Dead Simmons is probably pleased with it.

Touche.

Most of the White Sox hitters don't seem to have the extreme launch angle that the Brewers do and it allows them to handle elevated velocity

You have to laugh at ESPN calling JBJ a great signing. It's not every day you can sign a player for 10 million per year to do next-to-nothing.

;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

3-0 deficit against this guy and Crews offense........ Usually not a good thing. Woody still can't get the ball down. Wife wants to switch channels to the Olympics.

The offense that has averaged like 5 and a half runs a game since we acquired Adames?

This guy is not your average pitcher.

Neither is Woodruff and the Sox have 3 runs. It's the 4th inning.

Neither were the first two guys they threw in this series.

Not pleased with his performance. Also not willing to give up on him. I don't think you are either, though.

I mean no I'm not, but it's not like we have a choice.

You really have to hope that there is some investigative reporting that will be done on the Yu Darvish accusations. I know we all were kinda like sour grapes but looking at it now the guy hasn't been any good since.

At this point if Stearns can find a taker for Bradley at the deadline even if you have to throw in a prospect it would be worth it. Roster spot and the money saved would be a home run.

If they put him on waivers, nobody would claim him. Nobody's taking on the contract of a .550 OPS CFer, let alone trading for him.

+1.... Like Ron wolf used to say it's okay to make a mistake but you have to know when you need to correct it.

Well no one would claim him, absolutely right. But that doesn't make a trade impossible. You'd have to eat substantial salary and hope an OF needy team thinks they're buying low. Picking up the rest of his salary for 2021 might be worth it if the trading team assumes responsibility for the 2022 option, for example.

Dumping the option alone would make it worth getting rid of him.

Just a spectacularly bad contract from Stearns.

Well there is always next week for woodruff when he gets another chance

He had a bad inning. Otherwise has been his typical lights-out self.

Really just that terrible two-strike pitch to the pitcher.

Obviously Taylor being good is something that many of us first guessed but makes the Bradley contract baffling. How a guy as smart as Stearns could get it this wrong is hard to believe. I never thought Bradley was going to out hit Taylor given the same opportunity. That being said Cain being hurt was also something that you could see coming so I do sorta get it.

He made a bad pitch to Lynn. That is about it.

but it's not like every guy suddenly forgot every piece of advice he gave
