Way to crap the bed from what should have been a sweep, even without some key players. Hopefully that circus is out of their system now.

Gross. Easily the most disappointing series of the season.

Gotta win the next couple series that they should win this week.

I still think that award goes to the 4-game series in Philly earlier this season, but this one is certainly a contender.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Even the most well-behaved, potty-trained toddler sometime has accidents. The key is not to have to revert back to the Huggies at night.

Count me in the camp of sometimes you lose series to good teams.

The Brewers are not 7 games better than the Reds. They are better, though.

If we lose ground over the next 7, I'll start to get anxious. Let's pick up a game or two while the Reds play good teams.

I didn’t think the Giants were a more talented team than the Brewers coming into this series, and nothing I’ve seen in the past three days has changed my opinion. The Brewers sort of their own worst enemy the past two days, and kudos to the Giants for taking advantage of the extra opportunities they were given.

The "good news" is that these are --one hopes-- correctible problems.

I think it's pretty clear the Giants are tougher outs and have a better approach at the plate.

I think the Brewers have a bit stronger starting rotation.

Reds get the Indians, Braves and Phillies this week. Brewers get the Cubs and Pirates. Theoretically, this is a week where the Brewers should be able to extend their lead on the Reds.

The way their defense and hitting are playing out, I wouldn’ put any money on a bet like that. The more likely winning bet would be the Brewers losing several more players to SARS-CoV-2. :laughing

Make that 5 games better than the Reds.

Worth noting the giants are a playoff caliber team. You aren't gonna tally a dozen hits and 10 runs against playoff caliber teams too often. They looked fine this series with a few breaks going against them. Also it was very very apparent that our bullpen was not full strength for to covid. I highly suspect the away series plays out more favorably for the brewers.

It's become clear the division certainly won't be handed to us. The reds are making a fair run at it

Sometimes you lose series to bad teams too. A six month, 162 game season is a marathon and anomalies happen along the way. Nothing about this series loss concerns me. Nothing.

I still worry about the Cardinals…. They have a pretty favorable schedule over the next 18 games (10 Pit!! KC, Det, Brew). Veteran group who has underperformed all year…. Still have veteran staff, solid lineup, Molina.

If we only play 500 ball the rest of the way, the Cardinals would need to go 36-15, or about .80 percentage points better than the best current team in baseball, just to tie us.

Not concerned about St. Louis. They've dug too big of a hole. If they pass us, we had a total catastrophic collapse.

And we play them 13 times…. Going let’s say 4-9 against them allows them to gain 5 games just there. I still think of 2011 when they were out of it… waaay out of it and just kept winning. Even in the WS, they were losing with no hope in Game 6. Just crazy how they came back.

If we go 4-9 against the Cardinals, the problem is us, not the Cardinals.

Given our regular bullpen, we probably would have swept this series.

Get over it an move on, I guess.

Questions are a burden.   And answers a prison for one's self.
