There’s a point where some of this has to be attributed to inept hitting.

Manny is just a triple from the cycle. Now THAT would be rare, although cycles by Brewers catchers is something of a franchise tradition.

Another one of those mid game commercials. I guess they figured with Bradley up we wouldn’t miss anything.

They were right.

Went to commercial during JBJ’s at bat. That’s just mean

at this point I think it’s warranted.

The only cycle I’ve ever seen in person was in an interesting setting. In 1976 I went with some friends to Tiger Stadium to see Mark “The Bird” Fidrych during that period when he was the sensation of MLB.

They happened to be playing the Brewers, and Mike Hegan hit for the cycle as Fidrych was rocked from the game early.

Manny has quietly raised his OPS up over the .720 mark, right in line with career standings.

Was just looking through FanGraphs positional splits earlier.

Catchers are currently 5th in wRC+ (111) & tied with SF for 1st in WAR (5.0).

2B have also fared well with a 121 wRC+ (4th) & 4.2 WAR (2nd).

That's OK, we're on Manny Pina cycle watch. Something that happens less than no hitters BTW.

We need a gapper that hits the wall funny and takes a long bounce away from an outfielder. Or someone to dive at a sinking liner and have it skip under his glove.

Across all MLB there have been 141 no hitters vs 167 cycles since 1970.

Brewers are at 2 no hitters vs 9 cycles.

OK. Now they can start giving an inning to the relievers who haven’t had one for a few days.
