2021-09-21: Cardinals (Woodford) at Brewers (Woodruff) [Brewers lose, 2-1 -- Crew offense continues to struggle, Solid Woodruff start goes for naught]

[Cool Hand Lucroy]

Hey. A run.

[Ron Robinsons Beard]

It's a start.

[titletownking]

Giving up that run in the 8th was huge. Exactly why you have to go with your usual suspects. Escobar with a chance for a special moment.

Exactly why I questioned not going with Williams for the 8th. I realize Cousins has been good, but he isn't Devin Williams,

[MoreTrife]

Has to be gamesmanship!

[BruisedCrew]

I get the frustration, but we've been playing good ball up until (literally) two days ago. It's important to remember that even really good teams are gonna have tough stretches of baseball. We're not a bad offense, or pathetic, or anything else. It's just a tough couple games that I'd rather see now than in the LDS or LCS.

The scoring problems started in Detroit, were interrupted briefly by the Cubs pitching, and have come back the last 3 days. As Counsell said last night “It’s been a dry week except for a couple of innings”. Not enough traffic on the bases to generate runs.

Oh well, that was fun.

[oldguy]

I don't think I've ever seen a game where a team didn't hit a ground ball!

[sixtolezcano16]

We used all our good mojo, last Saturday night.

[Ron Robinsons Beard]

Good lord ... if I am getting this uptight for a relatively meaningless game with the team up 10 in the standings with 12 left to play, I might not survive October.

[PinaMadness]

Suter hasn't vultured a win in quite a while. Let's end that drought.

[BruisedCrew]

Have we heard if Strickland has gone on his paternity leave yet?

I was thinking they would need him tomorrow with Anderson on the mound.

I feel the same way.

Urias had a ground ball single in the 5th

[DuWayne Steurer]

Just remember, the Bucks are still world champs.

Yeah, I imagine that has to be pretty rare.

[wOOgiE22]

I know it probably happens to most teams, but my gosh it seems like the Brewers seem to be on the wrong end of a lot ground rule doubles, balls of the wall that cost them runs.

[Fear The Chorizo]

Get through the top half unscathed and then let's rip their heart out again

[brewers888]

What is the cardinals schedule the rest of the way.

[BruisedCrew]

Molina with an RISP against the Brewers usually means a run or two.

All Cubs and Brewers. Don’t count on any help.

Five more with us. 7 with the Cubs.

[brewers888]

Good thing Vogelbach hit that walk off grand slam against this team or the panic level would be real high.

Oh great.

There really is no reason to panic. There are reasons to be frustrated, though.
