Blah...going back to their red zone D of the first 6 games...

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

No matter how good they look for a short period of time I just can never trust this defense to get the job done in crunch time. Been that way for years.

Defense is gassed ....and playing with 5 in the box isn't sound strategy in the red zone on 2nd and short

they've barely been on the field.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

Packer D is giving the Cardinals the Rodger's rate at State Farm stadium... :(

Shouldn't be. Offense just gave them a sustained 90 yard drive.

Doesn't matter, they're gassed after the last two long cardinal drives when the Cards get a sustained drive due to moderate uptempo pace and alot of stretch runs/screens/etc where the front 7 is in chase mode constantly.

Always so impressive to me how Jones falls forward being such a relatively small back.

Not sure the comparison fit but reminds me of Marion Barber. Just tough as nails

Jones has the first down. Why he cut back?

Stay in bounds.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

it's way too early to think about staying in bounds
