Game Thread (4/12/2022): Brewers (Lauer) at Orioles (Watkins) - 6:05 PM CDT

There’s Yelich’s first really hard hit ball of the season with any elevation on it.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

When Yelich elevates a ball it’s so aesthetically pleasing. Hope for more of that for 22 in ‘22.

Why would a fielding error by the Pitcher make a run an earned run compared to a fielding error by the LF?

Right. ERA is meant to measure the pitcher as a pitcher, not as a fielder.

This plate ump has missed a ton of strikes.

"Crew chief" Laz Diaz.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

Personally, I don’t care for retractable roof stadiums so rainouts don’t bother me. Of course, I live in the metro so travel isn’t an issue.

Also, the primary reason the Twins didn’t build a retractable roof is because it literally wouldn’t fit on the footprint of Target Field, which would have meant no downtown stadium.

I always thought it was more the extra millions of dollars that nixed it.  Architects are smart...I'm sure they could've made it work on the existing footprint... the roof is still on top right? ?

Rainouts aren't so bad.  I just hate "cold" baseball in April and October.  Pitchers can't grip the ball, players with "hoodies", hitters don't hit as well... just a bad look for a summer sport, especially in the playoffs.  The BB seasons seem to get longer and later, too.

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

The Orioles have done some silly things tonight. Not shifting Cain up the middle. Not challenging that Rowdy play at first. Pitching to Cutch.

Makes you appreciate aspects of the Brewers approach.

What’s with the “celebration” the Brewers are doing after they get a hit? They drag their finger under their nose. Make me think of a “Dirty Sanchez”…

Both Adames and McCutchen have done it tonight.

Allergies or COVID?

Willie Adames

Timed his leap just perfectly

Boxberger thankful

Remember when people were upset that we sent two good RPs away for him?  Nah, me neither...
