I want him gone so we don’t keep yo-yo between Nashville & Milwaukee this season

I’d much rather see Turang, Mathias, Dahl - even Johnny Davis

I’m over Hiura - have been since early last year

i was aggravated when I saw he was being promoted to take Adames’ place on the roster

Yeah, they don't have any other option?  Really?  Jerking him back and forth doesn't really do any good, but here we are once again with him having spent a minute at AAA back with the Brewers continuing to suck.  I don't care if it burns an option, but he needs to spend the rest of the year at AAA.

I think I'd rather see the other Johnny Davis before Hiura at this point. He's got some time before the NBA draft...

RE: Hiura, the one thing that's been consistent between his Triple-A stats and MLB stats this year is his significant reverse splits. I know these sample sizes are small, but at this point he has a track record from throughout his time in professional baseball having reverse splits.

Hiura's MLB splits in 2022 (coming into today)

vs. RHP (24 plate appearances): .250 BA / .375 OBP / .550 SLG / .925 OPS

vs. LHP (18 plate appearances): .177 BA / .222 OBP / .177 SLG / .399 OPS

Hiura's Triple-A splits in 2022

vs. RHP (39 plate appearances): .355 BA / .487 OBP / .839 SLG / 1.326 OPS

vs. LHP (26 plate appearances): .200 BA / .231 OBP / .200 SLG / .431 OPS

I am a little perplexed that the Brewers seem to refuse to believe that reverse splits could actually be a thing. They have another prospect in the minors, Felix Valerio. that also hits better versus same sided pitching. At some point I think you have to acknowledge that maybe those type of players deserve a chance to prove whether or not their early splits are real.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hiura ends up with a team that allows him to hit against right handed pitching and he does just fine. He's always going to carry a high strike out rate, but he seems to see the ball much better against righties.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

I wouldn't be surprised what so ever if Hiura ends up with a team that allows him to hit against right handed pitching and he does just fine.

I really don't get this, either. Every smart team should be highly skeptical of reverse splits but on the other side of that coin, reverse splits exist and it appears Hiura is one of those very rare players who legitimately hits same-sided pitching better.

Avi Garcia butchered that same exact play numerous times last year. Love the Renfroe pickup and the fact that we were able to unload JBJ in the process.

If I were the Braves, I would've gone with Strider to finish the last three innings a la Ashby on Sunday. No way we were scoring with the way he was pitching. Come on Brewers. Take advantage!

CC, please, please, please send Hiura back to AAA permanently. Don't ever bring him back to Milwaukee again.

Counsell isn't the guy who makes those decisions. He may have input but he doesn't make the decision.

So who's the decision maker? He needs some constructive advice himself.

I hope Hiura magically hits a two-run game winning HR in the bottom of the 9th to bolster his value & is traded tonight for whatever from whomever

I dreamt we had water in the basement last night.  Your dream is way better!

Today will clearly be the day when both teams score multiple runs.

Dang, I thought he hit that a lot harder than he did.
