Well here we are, today’s game decides the season series winner which could potentially have playoff implications (either seeding or final wild card position) if the Brewers and Padres were to finish the season with identical records.

A win today would go a long way towards removing some of the sour taste from this past week, which has mostly been the result of our dire injury situation. Curious to see what lineup they’ll put out there.  Hopefully not a complete concession like yesterday’s.

Doesn’t seem quite as bad as yesterday, but still some pretty big holes in the lineup with Adames, Renfroe, Urias, and Narvaez all out. 

Not expecting much from the offense again today and, if Lauer can’t regain his command, it doesn’t figure to be a happy day. 

Might be seeing Williams and Hader today regardless of the score. 

The off day tomorrow might be a good day to discuss the state of the team. I’d like to think the last week is purely a reflection of the injuries and the difficult schedule of the last few weeks. But, there may also have been some longer term problems exposed that will have to be addressed for the team to win the division, much less challenge for one of the top two playoff spots.
