I wouldn't mind Ian Happ, to be honest.....

I wasn’t clear … I meant “now” while we await Renfroe’s return … someone in place of Hiura who adds nothing defensively & very little offensively

We will also need another bat at the trade deadline

Hiura has crushed right handed pitching. I'm not saying we can't upgrade from him but he takes too much blame for the offense being nothing special.

Just because something works out when you do something stupid doesn't mean it was a good idea.

He would be a nice addition at the deadline

I’m not sure the Cubbies would help the Brewers

For whatever reason - maybe it’s his 50% strikeout rate - Counsell refuses to play Hiura against righties on a regular basis

At some point these walks are going to burn Williams.   Might not be smart to walk this guy with their only two decent hitters coming up

The strikeout rate means he is likely to regress but he should face righties as long as he's putting up big numbers.

Devin really deserves to be an all-star. I'm thinking it'll have to be as a replacement, though. Maybe if Corbin pitches the Sunday before the all-star break, they'll give him his spot.

Even with questionable usage Hiura has a .339 OBP and a .760 OPS. I'll take it.

You would think he was hitting like Cain was with all the abuse he takes. He's definitely a better hitter than McCutchen who is untouchable to Counsell.

I’m a little concerned about Hader today after the number of pitches he threw yesterday.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

What is the logic or thinking with Hader in a tie game?

Is it confidence that we will score to walk it off?

We have two hits today & middle or lower order coming to bat

Hader's been one of the least-used elite relievers in the game this year. I'm not upset at Counsell for going with him here against the middle of the Cubs' order.

That was 100% on McCutchen.

He moved ten feet

Should've easily held him to 3.
