we don't need tryouts

Trust me, I agree 100%. I just think this may be the reasoning... I think it is very dumb. I just wrote an article recently, here, that talks about it and Pedro. Obviously the injury to Tyrone Taylor allows this a bit though. Maybe get some trade bait for a team not in contention or with injuries.

Ah gotcha. Yeah Brosseau has been quite impressive. Considering writing something about him

Hiura has been the star of the offense today. He accounts for 40% of their baserunners.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

If the Brewers have had a hard hit ball in this game I don’t remember it.

Staring in the face of their second straight shutout loss to the Cubs at AFF.

The hardest hit was the first at bat of the game, Yelich at 99.7.  Next is a Severino groundout at 92.7.

Feel like half the thread is complaining about Hiura starting vs a lefty, and he’s been on base twice, stole a base, and scored the only run.

That sounds more like the least softly hit. And it had a launch angle of “almost straight up” degrees.

Just because something works out when you do something stupid doesn't mean it was a good idea.

Hiura gets more abuse than any other player even when facing righties.
