This entire crap series is on Counsell, for not recognizing Hader didn’t have it, and Stearns, for thinking Alexander is a better option than Small. This is late years Thompson and McCarthy for Packer fans.

Where are the championships to fall back on?

PACKERS 13

BUCKS 2

USELESS CRAP BREWERS 0

MLB is rigged against us unless Attanasio wants to go into major debt to field a real contender.

Was Attanasio out there during any of the CBA negotiations pressing for more equity?  NO because making ********* of money and has a teflon excuse (oh we can't compete)...  Booh Hoo...

They really need to figure out a “hitting lab” similar to their pitching lab. Their organizational philosophy to hitting is pathetic. This team makes me prefer the days of Looper, Suppan and Bush.

I'm thinking a stun gun attached to their genitals and a charge when they swing and miss might be the best solution,.

Add the Giants to the list of wild card contenders who have wrapped up their season series against the Brewers.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Maybe Uecker can buy out Attanasio ... He cares about winning!

So much for a miracle today. And let's leave Alexander in to get hammered, I'm sure he appreciates that. I'm biting my tongue, CC.

Pederson can pitch several innings since 4 runs are on him.

The Crew do not have a single player in their lineup listed in the top 20 batters with RISP.

I've felt all year this team's position in the division was illusory and solely the result of a having a few pitchers Craig can rely on to get outs.

This last offseason was the time to do it when we still were going to have all their best pitchers. It’s obvious they aren’t going to take that approach now, instead they will “stay competitive” to keep people in the seats and hope for a playoff push, but really there won’t be much of a chance to really make a deep run in the playoffs.

Not too worried yet. If Burnes pitches, you probably don't want him starting Friday, and he should get as many starts as possible down the stretch.

I wouldn’t say I’m worried yet but it is a little puzzling that they gave him a couple of extra days before his start against the Giants, possibly to set him up to pitch in the ASG.

Hopefully it’s just a decision that he needs a break from pitching for a few days and will be ready to go next weekend.

The team is a result of Counsell’s direction and Stearns’ choices of talent. However, this team offensively just is putrid and it’s been a problem for years. Wong’s swing and even Adames swings are out uppercut. Have a lineup of guys who think they’re HR hitters and the results are what you’ve seen so far. I long for Lyle Overbay type hitters or a Jeff McNeil/Brandon Nimmo type to be peppered into this lineup.

Are they even keeping fans in the seats though? We have the 5th largest drop in attendance from 2019 to 2022 (as of June 30 both years). The top two are Oakland and Washington which make complete sense. Just not sure why a first place team, such as it is (and they were playing better two+ weeks ago), should show such a drop-off. Could spell additional problems for the franchise down the line.

I mentioned weeks ago that we should be prepared for no salary, or minimal added before the trade deadline because attendance is way down.

Trade Wong at the deadline for a bag of balls.

That's about all we'd get for him now.

I think the lockout and pandemic have something to do with it. The Brewers get a lot of attendance from groups that schedule outings, mainly during the summer months, and last year and this year there was uncertainty about whether games would be played.

I also wonder if there are more people like us who have lost some enthusiasm for attending games in person because the pace is so slow and there is so little action. It was a lot different 40 years ago when the average game was about 40 minutes shorter than it is now.

Being an above average team in a mediocre division will never lead to a World Series.

If our pitching gets back on track 2 bats might do the trick.  Our  offense had been offensive for a while now.
