EDIT: Since the initial post went up the Red Sox have replaced Brayan Bello with left handed relief pitcher Austin Davis. Davis hasn’t gone more than 2.0 IP in a game this year, so this appears to be an opener situation.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

Can I say I’ve been loving this offense lately.   It’s safe to say since the break the offense has been winning us games and opened up our lead

Long may it continue.   At least until our pitching finds it way again

If you’re going to throw a bum against the Brewers might as well make it a lefty.

I think Diekman is the only other LHP the Sox have, and he pitched 1.1 innings yesterday. I wouldn’t think we’d be seeing him too early.

Counsell might not want to load up too much on right handed hitters because they’re going to be seeing RHP for most of the game.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Brewers still have five more innings to get a fair ball out of the infield.

It’s astronomical the amount of home runs in our lineup compared to theirs

They’re not a big homerun hitting team to start with, and not having Devers and Story takes away about a third of them.

What are their injuries?

How long will each one be out?

Don’t look now, but it appears that Brandon Woodruff is back to his old form. Since returning from a stint on the DL, Woody has been absolutely electric.

I’m probably jinxing him, but through 5 innings, Woodruff has given up 1 walk, 1 hit, 0 runs, and has struck out 7.

Dating back to June 28, his first action since the end of May, he’s thrown 33 2/3 innings, allowing 7 earned runs, 22 hits, 10 walks, and 46 strikeouts. That’s a 0.950 WHIP, 12.30 SO/9 IP, a 4.6 SO/BB ratio, and a sparkling 1.87 ERA, to go with a 3-0 record.

Burnes is playing well. Woody is rocking. If we. Can get Peralta back soon, the Brewers could start making some noise.

Woody’s one of my favorite Brewers ever, so I’m thrilled to see him back. It was heartbreaking to see Jimmy Nelson go down. We were due for some good luck. Hope that whatever the issue was with his finger sensation, it can be managed. Because that rotation is looking really tough.

Boy am I glad they found out that feeling issue for Woody. Holy cow he’s looking good.

Yeah.   I really think that had something to do with his poor start especially when it was cold.     Let’s hope it doesn’t come back when it gets cold again

Let’s get that run back. Wake up, offense.

It seems like Yelich has been taking advantage recently of getting shifted. I like it.

Maybe there’s something to that toe tap thing - whatever it is if he can get on base at a 4-425 clip and go the other way I don’t mind him being our igniter in the top spot. It’s no MVP years Yelich but pretty darn valuable!
