Thompson has been horrendous lately and Woodruff lights out since his IL stint. Make it easy and blow out the Pirates today like they should. The team and the fans really need it.

I'm a big Urias fan after his performance last season & still waiting on him to get things together. But he struggled again last night w/RISP, and if Brosseau can look good today vs the RHP I wonder if he might crack the door open for himself a bit.

  • I see Yelich is DH, which he does once in a while, and that's fine. But someone plz explain to me why he's batting 1st. That doesn't make any sense to me. A typical CC stupid decision maybe??

He's been batting 1st the last several weeks. Where have you been?

Pirates just look better than the Brewers ... especially since the Hader trade.  ?

They have won 6 of the last 9 against the Brewers so in those games they have looked better.

And they’re looking better at the plate in the first two innings today against one of the Brewers aces than the Brewers are against one of the Pirates’ bums.

The Brewers sloppy play in the field continues too.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I’m thrilled to be unable (due to work) to watch the mediocre Brew Crew today

I truly need a break from this underperforming, low energy, bland team that may soon be in 2nd place in the NL Central

And please - all Brewers apologists - spare me the “its a long season” or “its just one series” … this team is missing spunk & has lost countless winnable games to inferior opponents

I know that. So he can't adapt to batting anything but 1st? Kinda like Hader HAVING to pitch only in the 9th. Got it!!

Well, he has been very efficient in the leadoff spot.

Who would you prefer to bat leadoff?

Where should Yelich bat in the order instead?

Not including today's game, Yelich is hitting .310/.419/.433 since moving to the leadoff spot on June 8th. I know your whole schtick is just complaining about how stupid Counsell is all the time, but he'd be absolutely insane to take Yelich out of the leadoff spot at this point.

I'm not real sure what you are arguing here, but it seems like you are forcing an argument simply to argue.

The Pirates are getting good cuts and making good contact against Woodruff today. Fortunately the one was hit right at Brosseau for the DP.
