Game Thread (8/07/2022): Reds (Ashcraft) at Brewers (Burnes) - 1:10 PM CDT

I miss the August waiver trades.  Would be nice to get a few low-level fliers for Wong, Narvaez, Boxberger, McCutchen, maybe even try to flip Bush and Rogers.  Another change that hurts small market teams.

This pitching staff is overrated

I get your point and I do agree to point , but they have only given up two runs . the offense can't string together hits .

I simply can’t watch

The Reds are terrible

The Pirates are terrible

We are on the verge of losing 5 of 6 games to these two teams

Meanwhile, STL is close to sweeping the NYY & Philly is suddenly red-hot too

We will likely be two games out of both the NL Central lead & the final Wild Card spot

More frustrating than these ongoing shenanigans - those in this forum who will say “we’ve got plenty of time” & “don’t you remember X team in X year rallying late?” (thumbs twisting in their cheeks producing an artificial smile)

That was a very impressive 9th inning. Looks like a team that is already making their off-season plans.

That was the 8th

Even if by some bottom of the ninth miracle we rally to tie or win this game - what a disappointing three game series following being swept in Pittsburgh

The older I get, the more I value my time

Watching the 2022 Brewers is a complete waste of time

Just to further twist the knife in, watch out bullpen give up another run up make it a 3-1 deficit in the bottom of the ninth.

And the Brewers scoring a run and losing 3-2. With the bases loaded.

The order doesn't have any 0.500 OPS guys to hit a HR, but they could PH someone who has 500 career AB and NO HR that will go deep.

We have four hits today. Their starter had a 4+ ERA, and their first three relievers had ERAs of 5 and 6+.

Stellar hitting, gents.

It's the best way to guarantee the offense gets (exactly) one in the bottom.

It’s ok to say that.     Because it’s not wrong.    The brewers could still come back.  It’s not out of possibilty.    My opinion is that it won’t    But it’s my opinion

It’s just the ones who infer that people don’t know anything about baseball earlier this season.    A lot of arrogance (and unearned arrogance at that) that may or may not have humbled some people and hopefully in the future they will remember that

The hell was Brian looking at that he thought that had a chance at being overturned?

He was looking through the bottom of his shot glass.

"Brewers will take the day off tomorrow."

They've already taken the whole week off, do they really need another day?
