1B/DH Jesus Chirinos has absolutely come on since his birthday home run party. He's been on a tear of late and it's fantastic to see for the big fella! 2 Doubles today and he just knocked in Robert Moore and sent Eric Brown Jr. to 3rd.

I had to pull up the game log and splits on him because lately he his name has been popping out alot! He has really come on since game before All-Star break on 17th. Only 2 multi hit games prior to July 17th, 6 of them since. Had 4 doubles, 0 Triples, and 4 Hrs before July 17th and since 4 doubles and 5 HRs.

Proud member since 2003 (geez ha I was 14 then)

FORMERLY BrewCrewWS2008 and YoungGeezy don't even remember other names used

Rattler OF Arbert Cipion was hit-by-pitch in the 3rd inning and exited the game the next inning. Hopefully he’ll bounce back quickly, especially given how many outfielders have been injured recently (Wiemer, Campbell, Bello, Mendez).

Cipion actually scored on a wild pitch and then Zavier Warren knocked in another run. 4-2 Timber Rattlers in the 4th inning.

Wiemer will be back in the line-up tomorrow night - they stuck with Tuesday's schedoodle. FWIW. But, yeah, I hear you...lotta tough injuries to the OF.

I will say, it's been really refreshing to see a healthy Corey Ray continuing where he left-off when the Brewers designated him off the 40-Man. He's 2-for-2 tonight and is continuing to hit well in Biloxi. Monasterio seems to have a new running mate.

Speaking of Biloxi, RHP TJ Shook is starting to get quite a bit more comfortable. He's into the fifth inning tonight having allowed a single run. He's stacking good outings - you love to see it. Hopefully he can get into the 6th or 7th inning tonight.

Well, shucks...I guess Corey Ray was listening. ?

He just launched a two-run BOMB over the wall in RF. 100 mph or so off the bat on a hanging breaking ball. Glorious work from Ray since being re-assigned. This is fantastic for Corey and the Brewers system. Keep it going, young man!

(3-for-3 tonight - 1 2B, 1 HR (2-run variety), 1 1B...you know what I'm thinking. It's right there for the speedy CF)

Chourio a homer, hard hit out, and an 11 pitch K. Pretty good for a 18 year old with 14 games under his belt at High A.

It was a pro AB, for sure. Got caught chasing a high heater...just lost the check swing. He missed on oppo blast to the wall or over by about 10' the pitch prior.

Garrett Whitley follows Ray with a solo shot himself over the wall in left center. That's 2 HR in two games for Whitley. Let's go, Shuckers. 6-1 bottom of the fourth.

Rain delay in Delmarva? Oh, c’mon. They just want Stiven Cruz (1 hit allowed thru 4 scoreless innings) to exit the 4-0 game going into the bottom of the 5th inning.

Mudcat game to resume tomorrow. That means 10 MILB games are on tap tomorrow (with Nashville doubleheader included):

LOL. And, welp, Brice Turang says: "Ummmm, yeah, hold the phone!" Smacks his 8th homer of the year and just like that is 2-1 Sounds. Yeah baby! This is FUN.

And, here's the highlight for y'all. Hitting streak extended to 17 games (!!). On base streak to 24 (!!). And, man, what a wonderfully easy swing on a sweeping lefty off-speed pitch:

Turang>J. Davis.

Now Rattler SS Eduardo Garcia gets hit by a pitch in the 6th inning and immediately leaves the game (joining Cipion), leaving only Ashton McGee and Wes Clarke officially on the bench, though neither has played in about 10 days so the bench is probably empty.

Wisconsin leads 6-2, as 3B Ben Metzinger collected his first High-A hit (single) and then several were walked or hit-by-pitch.

And Zavi Warren hit a rope to the 385' part of deeeeeep left center but Cubbies' CF Crow-Armstrong is a really good OF'er and quite fast and ran it down about a foot from the deep wall. Would have cleared those bases. Zavi is on some kind of tear right now.

Maybe Shook should have stopped at 88 pitches. A 10-pitch walk took a lot out of him apparently, as the next 2 pitches went: Double, 3-run Homer. Shoot. 6-5 Shuckers in the top of the 6th inning.

Yup. I should have kept my mouth shut, apparently. It feels like he and Nick Bennett are so close to closing out on dominant streaks but they are losing it here and there for brief moments. It's a bummer. 6-5 precarious lead now.

What a fantastic day and evening of Brewers Minor League baseball. My tip of the cap goes out to all the bullpens holding down the fort and ensuring victories. Let’s keep it going tomorrow!

Corey will be a minor league free agent, won't he, unless he's put on the 40 man?

Really enjoying the minor league resurgence this year. Lots of intriguing people to follow. Hasn't seemed this way in years.

I agree. Healthiest farm I can remember. Deeper than I can remember. Could use a breakout pitcher, and a slugger somewhere, but just solid top to bottom.

He most certainly will (as Jim points out). Regardless, he fortifies Biloxi’s outfield as they make a possible push. And he makes a case for himself across the Minor Leagues. He is still such an easy young man to root for - very humble, positive, and he works extremely hard. I wish him the absolute best. Who knows, maybe he stays in the Brewers system. Probably not likely but stranger things have happened.
