Why do Brewers pitchers think they can groove one down the middle of the strike zone to good hitters and get away with it?

You don't think maybe it's more likely he missed his location?

For the sake of discussion. If the team craters down the stretch and finishes 81-81 what should they do in the offseason?

I personally would like to see some drastic roster and management changes.

It’s not going to happen, but if they don’t actually improve the offense, they might as will trade Burnes and Woodruff this off-season and load up on top-end prospects and hope they pan out in like five years. Of course, we’d trade them for nothing and then DFA whoever we got.

I’m not sure how they make whole sale changes, with no real money to spend on FA and not a lot of trade capital unless they move one of the top OF prospects.

To improve the offense they need to trade at least one of them.  These FA Band-Aids just aren't going to put them over the top.

And I will double down on my prediction that the Brewers miss the playoffs by 1 game and have the best record of all the non-playoff teams.

Brewers will finish season 81-81

They don’t have what it takes to turn this season around

Three month slumps don’t just go away

Time to watch the Packers & get ready for Spring Training

I can’t wait to see Frelick & Turang next year in the bigs

100%. Trade both of them and Williams. Would be a minor rebuild. 2023 wouldnt be pretty, but 2024 and later could be amazing if things work out.

Spoiler alert… they won’t work out

This team has become non competitive against really good teams. That happens when you can't hit. That's why making the playoffs is basically irrelevant. you are not a serious contender.

They might not but this sure feels like 2014 again to me and the window is closed and the sooner you realize that and make the painful choices the sooner you become relevant again.

Too bad that Yelich contract is going to hamstring them for the foreseeable future

We should try to acquire 3-4 more minor league outfielders.  That’s what we really need more of.

Honestly they couldn't be a whole lot worse.

I don’t know if this team really wants to go to the ballpark any more this season.     They’ve been completely demoralized

they know they don’t have it

Having their winning streak end yesterday has clearly demoralized the Dodgers.

Seeing the Milwaukee Brewers on the schedule is the salve for any bodily injury.

Looking back the Hader trade will be the line in the sand that everyone points to but it shouldn't be. This team can't hit or score runs against decent pitching. It wouldn't matter who your closer is when you can't get a lead.

Mop up duty seems to agree with Alexander and that's really the only place he should be used.

After the game I am sure Sophia will start the questions with Jason Alexander looked good didn't he Craig??

The Hader trade doesn't upset me anywhere near as much not adding a right handed bat.

Yeah, but that will be the Milwaukee Brewers version of “amazing”. We’ll make the playoffs, may even win a series. And then we’ll get bounced from the playoffs in excruciating fashion.

I keep looking at the decision to give Christian Yelich a huge extension immediately after the broken knee as the major step backwards for this team. It was a colossally stupid decision to back up the Brinks truck before even knowing if he was going to suffer any long term effects, especially knowing of his existing back issues.

The Brewers front office never learn from their mistakes. You’d think they’d be a bit more cautious after the boatload of money given to Braun. But no. They keep running up to the football, full of conviction and hope, only to have it mercilessly yanked away.

Wonder how different the team would look without that contract.
