Will you put your money where your mouth is and leave the thread if/when the Brewers get a hit?

Got anything tougher than that, like, putting a dollar in the swear jar?

Poor Burnes has to be wondering if they will ever score 3 or 4 runs for him again.

Anyone know where he falls in the run support ranks?

Bill and BA are just so much better together than any other combo we have.  Bill sounds much more alive when BA is in the booth.

I think Bill likes and respects BA, not so much the rest of the guys he's paired with. He's also seemingly approaching the "I don't give a crap" part of his career. That's my take anyways

Why does Counsell continue batting Yelich in the lead off spot?

He’s now 1 for his last 33 at the plate over the last nine games (an .032 AVG), and his on base sucks. 1 hit and 6 walks is a .184 OBP. Our offense is struggling, and his inability to do, well anything, is a major reason why.

Probably because he's the best option, and you generally don't make big lineup changes over a 9 game sample...

Seven very nice innings from Lauer.

Now runs, please.

Heck yeah. I’ll take giving up two solo bombs over 7ip any day.

That’s a good question. I don’t believe that run support is a sortable option in the Baseball Reference database. The answer has to be put there somewhere.

At first glance, Burnes is actually getting good support, at 4.50 runs/9 IP.

That’s actually above the National League average of average of 4.41 runs scored per 9 innings.

The problem is that a few big games are skewing the results. In one start, Milwaukee scored 19. In two others, 10.

If he’s getting 4.50 per 9 IP, and he’s thrown 143 innings, that comes out to 15.889 9 inning games, and 71.5 runs scored by our offense. Round that to 72.

Take away 29 runs and 27 innings, that leaves 43 runs in 116 innings. If my math is correct, that means in his other 20 starts, he’s gotten 3.33 runs per complete game from our offense.
