That was kind of a snide remark. So all DH's nowdays are just mediocre. Whatever....

Majority of DH's are mediocre.  There are very few Ortiz like DH's in MLB.  There are only 17 qualified DH's this year and Yelich is the 11th best DH in all of MLB.  So yeah DH's are very mediocre.

Brosseau looked like he pulled something in his first at bat.  Looks like the Brewers reacted a little late on pulling him.

Brosseau is really sucking lately. If he's not going to hit lefties at minimum, he should go to AAA.

I think he is heading for the DL.

To say adames and Urias have been a huge part of the problem this year would be an understatement.  just lower your leg lift and launch angle and you’ll increase your OPS by 100 points.  Good lord

This is why Hiura deserves a ton of credit. The Brewers don't really impact struggling hitters. He took it upon himself and fixed his issues a bit.

Doubtful it will probably be Peterson.

8/23 Milwaukee Brewers recalled 3B Pablo Reyes from Nashville Sounds.

I get why they want guys to hit the ball in the air but there has to be a point in the bell curve that excess launch angle and over emphasis on it is actually detrimental.

Isn't the DH normally one of the team's better batters?

Not so much anymore.  More teams use the DH now as a means to give players partial rest instead of taking them completely out of the lineup than use it as a means to get an all-hit, no-defense player in the lineup.

Do you want the Brewers to call up Frelick?  Because the other day he was the DH and batted leadoff.

I would rather bring Ruiz up and go with six OF's.

According to B-R.com, the Brewers are 12th in the majors in wins above average at the DH position.  Technically the Brewers DH has been average (0.0 wins above average) but above the median (12th vs. 15th).

The Astros are #1 in wins above average at the DH position and have had 10 different players as the DH this year.

Lauer has the Power!  He turns bats sour!

Luis is the best Urias!

Julio is the least Urias!

Rooting Brewers over Dodgers frees us!

CC's birthday is OVER, but the Brewers are OVERcomers!  Dodgers fans will be glummers!

I told you!

The Astros also have one of the better players this year playing DH a lot in Yordan Alvarez.

Thx for the informative info, appreciate it. Don't know enough about Frelick to have an opinion.

Getting away with some pretty fat ones.

Lauer has been getting with them all season.  Just by his pitch placement he should be getting hit more than he has.  I wouldn't be surprised if Lauer has a rather large negative regression going forward.  I don't believe the whiff% and low average on the pitches he is leaving over the plate is sustainable.
