Arizona has some tough pitching so we’ll probably struggle to score runs this entire series. Luckily, it doesn’t look like Arizona has the greatest offense either so hopefully our pitching can match theirs.

Looks like former Brewers farmhand Cooper Hummel is on the active roster of the DBacks.

Currently rocking a 169/272/284 (58 OPS+) line with a 32% K rate over 169 PAs. Has started five games behind the dish (including yesterday so maybe we'll see him back there this series), 17 games in LF and 12 games at DH so far for ARI.

The DBacks have been scoring pretty well lately so I wouldn’t assume that the games will be low scoring.

Before getting annihilated 18-2 by the Phillies last night they had won 5 in a row, a road sweep over the White Sox and the first 2 of their series against the Phils. They scored 45 runs in those 5 games, including a 13-7 win over the Phillies after they fell behind 7-0.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

It's too bad we had to trade that 58 OPS+ bat away for an Escobar rental, otherwise we'd have that production in the middle of our order for the next 5 years.

Hope it will be like 18 and 19, not 17, 20 and 21.

At least we have our best lineup in tonight. No McScrub or Urias gives us a chance, though Merrill Kelley has been awesome.

I kind of get the limit, but I miss the 37 man active roster and seeing a bunch of new players in September.  Though less so combined with not having the three batter minimum and teams using 5 pitchers in two innings.

Woodruff trying not to get traded with that era blowing up.  what the heck is going on with these guys?

Not the outing the Brewers needed from one  of their aces. Inefficient and ineffective.

The good news is that it looks like I won’t have to stay up too late.
