You mean Mark A isn't going to stretch the budget to sign McCutchen?

Unless he makes a splashy mid-season reacquisition to show the fanbase how cherished we are...no - he will have to find another creative way to stretch the budget.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Oh Im sure Miley was our stretching of the budget this offseason.

Kinda nice that McCutchen is going back to Pittsburgh after reading this from Olney:

A summer of milestones is likely ahead for McCutchen, who needs 52 more hits to achieve 2,000 in his career, eight more doubles to reach 400 and 13 more homers to reach 300.

Pittsburgh fans have so little to cheer for, a farewell tour from Cutch reminds them of their 15 minutes of relevance a decade ago.

I’m so glad Cutch will not be on the Brewers roster again

We wanted him in September, though…. with playoffs on the line.

“We” didn’t … if that includes “me“

I was never in favor of him being on the roster in 2022

He was not an $8M bat … I’m thrilled he’s gone

Nice story to end his career in a Pirates uniform

At least they've won a World Series in the last 50 years. Something that obviously can't be said about the Brewers. We celebrate a World Series losing team...

At least we're not the Mariners, who don't even have a World Series losing team to celebrate

I always like Cutch even last year with us.  He isn't the player he once was but he was always a professional.  It is kinda nice for him to go back to Pitt for one more ride.

Last playoff appearance was in 2015. From 2016-22 only the Royals, Marlins, Tigers and Orioles won fewer games.

O'Neill Cruz, Ke'Bryan Hayes and one foot out the door Bryan Reynolds are all they have to show for it on the MLB roster.

At least the Orioles are starting to come out of it. Tigers, Marlins, Royals, Pirates, Reds all still circling the drain.

Yeah, it's rough to be a Pirates fan. And I don't enjoy watching them suffer; at least a small part of me feels sympathy when baseball's economics and bad ownership lead to a small market fanbase suffering through an endlessly bad product on the field.
