A balmy 48 degrees in Chicago today. Remind again me why the Brewers are not playing at home?

Because opening day is special and they need to play at the historic Wrigley field!

The Twins and Cubs should be required to start every year on a week road trip.  I'm just glad they're going to get the game in.  Original forecast called for rain.

For the Twins' perspective, they should probably be required to play their 1st month's-worth of home games down in Ft. Myers at their spring training facility.

Heading into this series hoping to take 2 of 3, the Brewers should have a clear pitching advantage in the 1st 2 games and the 3rd is probably pretty even. But cold weather can cause some variance and baseball is just weird. But if they can take 2 of 3 in Wrigley to start the year that'd be a good start

The Twins do just that pretty much every year. Not sure why the Cubs don't.

It's part of the reason why I'm kinda in favor of reducing the MLB season back to 154 games. Baseball wasn't meant to open play in March.

I was joking earlier when I said it is because of Wrigley Field, but that might actually be the reason. Which is silly because Wrigley looks super ugly to start the year with the ivy brown and dead.

Excited for the season!  I think the lineup will be better than most think, but I think the bullpen is going to be ugly.  Hope to be wrong though! Let's win the day!

Can't they play in the bird killing building?

I don't think its oriented appropriately for baseball...then again neither was the hefty gladbag building before snow decided to crater its roof.

Regular season baseball anywhere is a good thing - yay for OPENING DAY!!

But we have 4 elite pitchers! Who cares who the other 9 are???

Cubs batting Bellinger 4th in the line-up... seems optimistic, then you see the rest of the lineup

I actually think the Bellinger pickup was pretty savvy, I expect a bounceback season from him.

But you're right in that the bottom of the Cubs lineup is pretty bad.
