My son saw this last night in Madison. A friend got him free tickets. He said it was just a blast. I went to the '82 World Series - game 5. So freaking close! He said I'll love it.

I predict you will as well.  And I agree that the current team should be made to sit down and watch it as soon as they return to Milwaukee.

I brought a handkerchief and was smart to do so.  It was cathartic.  1982 was the first season I followed from beginning to end, and I really had no perspective then on what a big deal it was.  I remember watching parade/rally footage, probably on the Madison news, and literally thinking to myself, "they'll get it next year."

I've spoken/posted many times, including around here, on how I hate STL with the fire of a billion suns.  This movie added a new and unprecedented layer of heat and hate.  :angry

I went and watched it today. It was good with interesting inside info and thoughts. And real emotions from the players. It was amazing how quickly my blood turned cold with the first mention of Willie McGee.

Yeah, gonna do a hard pass on this.

It felt like an extended cut of one of the road to the Superbowl NFL films docs.

I felt it was good, but didn't need to see it on the big screen, especially considering all the footage was in 480p.

Saw the movie on Saturday in Madison.  Really enjoyed it.

My son is planning to go today, if for no other reason to verify all my stories over the years are true.😁

Spoiler alert: And Ozzie Smith telling Robin to get over it.  Get out of my life, Ozzie.

In non-spoiler news, Just A Bit Outside's stay at the Wisconsin Marcus theaters is extended another week, and it'll now also be shown in Gurnee, IL.

Saw this over the weekend. It was really well done and and is pretty much that final exclamation mark on that team. Even though we all know what happened it gave me a better appreciation of how much that team went through that final weekend, right into the playoffs and into the World Series. Their season could have been over a number of times but they always overcame the odds, which makes it more heartbreaking they couldn't hold onto that lead in Game 7 of the World Series. It obviously still bothers Yount they didn't win, he has accomplised so much but unfortunate the greatest Brewer could never win it all.

Also have to say that I never knew what a good interview Ted Simmons is, always viewed him as a gruff, down to business guy with not much personality but he was good in this.

When Simmons was with the Brewers, I always thought he was stoned when he was interviewed. However, I was in college at the time, so I may be projecting somewhat.

I know it will but I live in Italy and the catalogues of stream providers are very different from USA to Europe and I don't think I will be able to watch it. We'll see... well, You'll see, Me, I don't know...😅

Maybe it's time for you to make a return visit to Wisconsin. 🤷‍♀️

If you want, I can come to Italy and let you use my Hulu account. I may not leave, but that's a separate issue. I'll sweeten the deal and let you binge any of my other streaming services while the games aren't on.

I had the pleasure to host a fellow brewerfanatic and We had a blast, so if you let me see the film I'll let you live forever with my family, seems like a fair deal. Got a mlb.tv account with no blackout restrictions too...

Great news that it will be available to everyone. I know people tend not to own physical media anymore but it is also available on DVD on amazon for $20.

Piggybacking on this thread instead of starting a new one...  This video that just posted to YouTube is pretty awesome. Guy in London randomly acquires a t-shirt from a Brewers-connected bar in the shadow of County Stadium / Miller Park (Cesar's Inn, aka the bar owned by Harvey Kuenn in the heyday), travels to MKE to find it, and makes a lovely 20-minute documentary video about the city, the team, the fans, and his overall experience.
